The Essential Primus

I've chosen a single song from each full-length release by the mighty Primus. Each song is what I feel is the best representation of the band at the time of each album, and what I think could sway the uninitiated into picking up some truly unique avant-rock. What songs would you have chosen?
1Primus
Frizzle Fry

Harold of the Rocks - Love the main theme on this one (dun-dun-duh), paired with the shaky wah-ed guitar. The slow section is meandering in the best way possible. It's a nice sample of Primus' odd songwriting, and the blurb at the end ("So in the end, Swamper and Greeny finally succumb to the ways of Harold. And in doing so each gave just a little bit of his soul away. What a couple of dumbshits.") Is brilliantly funny, and like most of this album, would set the tone for Primus humor laden lyricism.
2Primus
Sailing the Seas of Cheese

Tommy the Cat - I don't need to say anything about the bass on this song, except just freaking listen to it. It's a signature Claypool riff, and wholly captivating. As is Tim Alexander's drumming (the high hat is superb), and Larry LaLonde's soloing, both proving they are of the same quality of their much lauded band leader. A classic track.
3Primus
Pork Soda

DMV - This one was tough. Pork Soda has so many amazing songs, but this one showcases what I feel is the best bass sound they ever achieved. You can practically feel it echoing of the studio walls. LaLonde's textural guitar work is eerie as hell. And yet again, Alexander is tearing it up. It's great such an accursed place could be positively remembered through this song.
4Primus
Tales From The Punchbowl

Wynona's Big Brown Beaver - An excellent mash up of southern twang and driving rock, and an early indicator of where Les would end up further along the road. LaLonde lays down a very unique bit of soloing, especially with the addition of slide to finish it out. Also the music video is killer.
5Primus
The Brown Album

Shake Hands With Beef - Although I feel this was Primus' low point (mainly due to the loss of Alexander and the transition of Mantia into that position), the groove on SHWB is sexy, no bones about it. Also the rougher production works so well with this particular track. An overlooked gem.
6Primus
Antipop

Ballad of Bodacious - Before their 11 year break, it was apparent Primus were definitely shifting to a different form of weird. Not as San Francisco weird as the first 3 albums, more like Berlin weird. Things had taken a more industrial turn and songs like Bodacious were very promising after the slight slump of the Brown Album.
7Primus
Green Naugahyde

Jilly's On Smack - The atmosphere is awesome on this one, and shows that Primus had surely matured since Antipop (if you could call it mature). This somehow feels exactly how elder Primus should sound, and if they have more material to release, stuff of this quality would do just fine.
