Movie Watching Binge

Been on a movie binge the past two weeks, seeing as how it had been a long time since I've rractually taken the time to watch one. After watching the Seventh Seal I'm hell-bent on going rrthrough Bergman's filmography. List is what I've been listening to recently and the movies I rrhave watched. Also, recs for more movies I should watch plz.
1 Astral Social Club
Happy House

The Artist: This was a delightful little movie which combines filmmaking aspects of
Old and New Hollywood. It managed to be extremely charming even without sound.
All in all, this was a great homage to the golden days of cinema and a film I'd highly
recommend
2The Clean
Anthology

The Master: Paul Thomas Anderson's There Will Be Blood is easily my favorite movie
of all time, and this movie proves even more that he is one of the most talented and
visionary directors of the modern day. The film is beautifully shot, thought provoking,
and the acting is superb. Anderson has proven to be himself a master of casting
actors for their roles,as Joaquin Phoenix perfectly evokes the disturbed nature of his
character, and Philip Seymour Hoffman is brilliant as the enigmatic and charismatic
master. My only complaint with this film is that it can become tedious at times,
because there is a lack of real climax in the film. However, it is quite haunting
nonetheless. Another recommended film.
3L
Holy Letters

Boogie Nights: I have to admit, I am a little apprehensive of any movie with Mark
Wahlberg playing a serious role, but this movie managed to pleasantly surprise me.
Marky Mark fits perfectly as a naive young Dirk Diggler trying to make his mark on
the world as a porn star, although this is less of a credit to him than Paul Thomas
Anderson's perfect casting. While it is weaker than the Master IMO, it is still a very
good movie.
4Lootpack
Soundpieces: Da Antidote!

The Seventh Seal: Simply incredible. Bergman in this film has managed to create an
atmosphere of undeniable paranoia through his imagery, which ranges from subtle to
striking. What surprised me the most was how Bergman managed to convey so much
by saying so little. If you watch any movie on this list, make it this one.
5 This Morn' Omina
Le Serpent Blanc- Le Serpent Rouge

The Seventh Continent: Another great film, and a slow burner, too. Haneke explores
the apathy of life in Germany by showing in uncomfortable detail the minutae of their
everyday life. The denouement is one you won't forget anytime soon. Another must-
watch.
6Fieldtriqp
Old Haunts

The Big Lebowski: I know I'll catch flak for saying this, but after everything I had
heard about this movie, I was a little disappointed by it, and I suspect it was because
I HAD heard so much about it that much of the humor was ruined for me. I just feel
as though if it hadn't permeated the internet so much that it would have been funnier
when I saw it. Still good though.
7Casino Versus Japan
Whole Numbers Play the Basics
