| Six Feet Under's Discography From Best To Worst (excluding Graveyard Classics Albums)
Exactly what it says. The albums by death metallers SFU from best to worst r(and why). | 1 | | Six Feet Under Unborn
Although it's has only been out for a short time, I can already say it's their best,
most diverse, and strongest effort to date. This album is how SFU should have
always sounded, then maybe they'd get more respect. | 2 | | Six Feet Under Undead
Not as good as its successor, but still a damn good album. Solid riffs, evil vocals,
and revamped production make this a great comeback album after the 4-year gap
between it and Death Rituals. | 3 | | Six Feet Under 13
The less groove-based, more classic death metal approach on this album signaled
a slight change in direction, and it definitely shows improvement. Some of the
band's best riffs and drumming can be found on this album. The quiet production is
a bit distracting, however. | 4 | | Six Feet Under Commandment
Contains a sense of power and balance not heard in its predecessors. A little
repetitive, but still one of their best. | 5 | | Six Feet Under Bringer of Blood
Chris performs his vocals rather poorly on this album, but the crunch, groove, and
ultra-catchy title track make up for it. Not one of the best releases they've crafted,
but certainly not their worst. | 6 | | Six Feet Under Warpath
The better of the two Allen West albums. The death 'n' roll approach of the songs
tends to be a little monotonous, but some really good songs and overall decent
performance make it a good album. "Nonexistence" may be one of death metal's
catchiest tunes of the 1990s. | 7 | | Six Feet Under Maximum Violence
Good, but overrated. Maybe it's just that it doesn't measure up to their latest two
despite comparisons in my opinion, but I don't think this is one of their best. This
one I can't really explain. | 8 | | Six Feet Under Haunted
Many detractors consider this the only good album the band has made.
If anything, it's one of their less noteworthy albums. The grooves are really good
and Barnes puts on a strong vocal performance, but its repetition, lazy drumming,
and dull vibe drags it down a bit. Recommended, but tedious if you're expecting a
lot. Also, the "dadada-dadadadadadadada" drum part in "Lycanthropy" sounds like
a Fear Factory rip-off. | 9 | | Six Feet Under Death Rituals
Here's where things start to get kind of poor. It sounds like they were attempting
full-on traditional death metal to an even greater extent than 13, and while the album sounds good (as I like the
band), it's one of their weakest efforts. Barnes' vocals sound like the musical
equivalent of wood chopping, the little experiments are useless (an ambient song?),
and it sounds like the band is trying too hard. No wonder it took them 4 years to
make another album after this. | 10 | | Six Feet Under True Carnage
Yep, this is the worst SFU album. While Death Rituals sounded like they were trying
too hard, on this it sounds like they aren't trying hard ENOUGH. The riffs are
beyond repetitive, the production is way too sludgy, the guest appearances are
stupid (ICE-T? Really?), and some of the songs ("Knife, Gun, Axe", "Snakes")
genuinely sound like Korn attempting death metal. A few good riffs and the Tomb
of the Mutilated-esque vocals from Barnes are the only things that can redeem this
album. Avoid this unless you're a fan. | |

03.19.13 | Most of the albums of these band are horrible, specially the graveyard classic are disgusting. | Madbutcher3
03.19.13 | I've heard some of the tracks off the new album, it's still boring but some tracks mark a serious improvement. | Liam8VIII
03.20.13 | Warpath is a decent album, but I've not listened to any others |
