02.22.13 | Mount Eerie, for sure. Have a Nice Life if you haven't heard them already. Gnaw Their Tongues (anything Mories does is pretty fucked up). An Autumn for Crippled Children, really depressing and atmospheric black metal. If you want some old school chills, check out Joy Division's Closer and Unknown Pleasures. Also, John Frusciante's Niandra LaDes & Usually Just a T-Shirt and Smile from the Streets You Hold; both are hauntingly beautiful, lo-fi alt-folk/rock. Oh, and Edgard Varese. He composed a lot of percussion based classical music that sounds like it came straight out of a 50's horror film. Really great stuff |
