| Movies I've Seen This Year
Ranking the movies I was able to catch that have come out this year, just movies seen in the theater, no netflix or movies that I've seen recently. | 1 | | Mac Demarco Another One
Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation - Didn't get to enjoy this as much as I wanted to, because my friends were talking the entire time and it was at a drive in so we were goofing around. From what I saw and remember it was pretty good, loved the action/fight sequences. There were some cliches and a few scenes where I was like, "really?..." 7/10 | 2 | | CZARFACE Every Hero Needs a Villain
Ted 2. Of course this is the usual love or hate film. If you enjoy Seth Macfarlane's humor, then you will most likely enjoy this. If you hate stuff like Family Guy or American Dad, then you won't enjoy this because it doesn't really take any progression or introduce anything experimentally new in Seth's catalog. That being said, I knew what I was getting into and I enjoyed it, lots of gut laughs and inside jokes to be made 7.5/10 | 3 | | Makeout Videotape Ying Yang
The Gift - Excellent (x20) movie. You think you know what's going on, but the movie gives a fantastic plot twist that flips you on your head thinking you knew this was going to be nothing new in the thriller genre. It's engaging from start to finish, great acting especially from the main "antagonist", and the creepy psychological ambiance that covers the movie isn't overdone. 8.5/10 | 4 | | Disclosure Caracal
Inside Out. Pretty good children's movie with the same humor/plot type that adults can enjoy as well. Saw this as the second part of a double feature even though I wasn't that interested. I was pleased nonetheless. 7/10 | 5 | | LCD Soundsystem The London Sessions
Mad Max: Fury Road - My favorite movie so far this year. Top notch action! Apocalyptic madness! It's plot isn't unintelligent to please new comers to the franchise or be the stereotypical "meh" blockbuster. Edgy, thrilling, exciting, great direction and graphics. 9/10 | 6 | | White Reaper White Reaper Does it Again
Jurassic World - It was okay. Chris Pratt is fucking awesome as usual, but I really did not care too much for it besides the graphics. It wasn't very exciting with its plot and there were quite a few filler moments 5.5/10 | 7 | | Deafheaven New Bermuda
Ant-Man - Pretty fun movie. Would've liked if there was a higher contrast between comedy and seriousness for an action packed superhero movie. But they knew what they were doing creating this, it just didn't stick with me a whole lot. They probably knew Ant-Man didn't have the potential to follow the route of all these dark toned, serious, and thrilling superhero movies coming out. Instead it went back to some of the classic movies being light-hearted, fun, and subtle. Paul Rudd is bae, 7.5/10 | 8 | | Wilco Star Wars
San Andreas - lol, 4/10 | 9 | | Starfucker Miracle Mile
Straight Outta - Ice Cube's son pulls off a better performance than Ice Cube in any of his movies. 8/10 | 10 | | The Police Outlandos d'Amour
It Follows. My friends didn't like it because they really are the type of movie-goers that don't think much, they want explosions and jump scares out the asshole. This horror movie didn't do that, it didn't rely on jump scares. It had a pretty decent plot, great ambiance, a touch of psychological horror, I thought it was a great concept. There's some things that seem a little dumb or not further explained. Not in the way of, "that was ambiguous, I like how they did that, makes me think" but there were too many points left unexplained. 7.5/10 | 11 | | Silversun Pickups Better Nature
Spy - Fucking badass and hilarious 8.5/10 | 12 | | The Arcs Yours, Dreamily
Woman in Black 2 - Worst movie I've seen this year. Not even awful in a funny way, it's not exciting, the jump scares didn't even cheaply get me, I've taken piss breaks more intense than this movie. 3/10 | |

08.18.15 | Perfect explanation for Jurassic World | LotusFlower
08.18.15 | Jurassic World would've been miles better if it was just Chris Pratt and Bryce Howard trying to fight off dinos in the park. | Sinternet
08.18.15 | On Jurassic World I have to disagree, Chris Pratt was the worst part for me, can't stand his acting, but i'd give it 8/10 for good action scenes. On Ted 2, I found the original funny in some places but this was just awful, about a 2/10. Others I agree with of the ones I've seen. | LotusFlower
08.18.15 | Ted comparing himself to slavery was pretty fucking stupid | DoctorJackal
08.18.15 | I saw The Gift yesterday. Loved it. Also totally agree with 5. | NorwichScene

08.18.15 | Agreed, last year had a lot more top notch movies. Maybe I'm watching the wrong ones, but The Grand Budapest Hotel, Birdman, and Nightcrawler from last year might be classics to me in years coming. | Gameofmetal

08.18.15 | Oh man, I really wanted to see Gone Girl last year and never got the chance to until two weeks ago; rented it with a friend. Very...very nice. The ending was intriguing, but I wish it ended on a little more of a bang, it just kinda faded. | MO
08.18.15 | it ended the exact same way the book did | JWT155
08.18.15 | The new Mission Impossible is great, a very fun movie, just wish the ending had been more grandiose as the rest of the film. | RogueNine

08.18.15 | Jurassic World sucks absolute balls. It's so manipulative of fans of the original. Honestly, I liked Terminator Genysis a whole lot more. It was shameless fanboy ejaculation but it was a lot of fun. | Trebor.

at least it was entertaining and tried to do something different. salvation is the boringist shit ever | dbizzles
08.18.15 | I hate horror movies for the most part, but It Follows was pretty decent. The concept was original and made me wonder what the fuck I would do if it happened to me. I just didn't understand why it felt like an 80's movie, but the chick had a kindle sea shell or whatever. | InFlamesWeThrash666
08.18.15 | Flames, that was last year bro.
Yeah but i watched it this year | TumsFestival

08.18.15 | Was it at least funny? | DeadGuy
08.18.15 | I did laugh some, but it was a pretty terrible movie. It played off alot of the same jokes from the original. Real dumb humor, but not good dumb like the old ones. | puntugruhm
08.18.15 | watch the new shaun the sheep movie | DoctorJackal
08.19.15 | Spy was probably the biggest surprise of the year. I've never liked Melissa McCarthy, but damn was she funny. |
