Whisky
My 10 favourite - and remember boys and girls if you are adding water rthen room temp is best. Cold water and ice tends to shut down the rwhiskeys aromatics and limit the complexity. |
1 | | Cult of Luna Somewhere Along the Highway
The Balvenie (12Yr Old DoubleWood) - matured in traditional whisky casks before
being finished in sherry casks. There is a nutty and cinnamon spiciness to this with
the sherry giving it a hint of sweetness and the rich flavours of dried fruit. Like
drinking mums christmas cake. Nom Nom fucking Nom. |
2 | | Drudkh Blood In Our Wells
Glenfiddick (12Yr Old Scotch) - Single Malt, medium body and very little smoke. |
3 | | Nick Cave & Warren Ellis The Assasination of Jesse James
Buffalo Trace (Kentucky Bourbon Whisky) - Hadcrafted small batch bourbon, love
this stuff. |
4 | | Oceansize Everyone Into Position
Grants (Ale Cask Finish) - After muturation is finished off in ale casks. |
5 | | *shels Sea of the Dying Dhow
Talisker (10Yr Old) - Lots of smoke and peat. My favourite when eating fresh
oysters, just pour a bit in the shell with the oyster before you gulp it all down. |
6 | | Agalloch The White
Auchentoshan (Three Wood) - matured in three different types of casks (one
bourbon and two different sherry). Amazingly light in body but nice toffee and
sherry oak flavours. |
7 | | Paul Dempsey Everything Is True
Blanton's Special Reserve - Single barrel bourbon that is light in body. |
8 | | Omar Rodriguez-Lopez Los Suenos De Un Higado
Sullivans Cove (Double Cask) - Tasmanian single malt that is frighteningly easy to
drink. |
9 | | Nine Inch Nails Hesitation Marks
Hudson Baby Bourbon - First bourbon to be distilled in new york. |
10 | | The Doors L. A. Woman
Highland Park (12Yr Old) - Sweet, smokey and smooth. |
