I've been on this nu-metal kick and I just listened to all of Static-X's core albums (as in before Wayne passed, RIP) and this is my first impression. This is super rushed cause I was bored and just got off of listening to them so ye | | 6 |  | Static-X
Cult of Static
This was easily the weakest. Everything felt flat and weak and half the songs end on a fadeout and just...yea. Not very good.

Machine
Tbh, I could see this being higher than Shadow Zone if I gave it another listen but as is, this is where I put it.

Shadow Zone
I think I just have nostalgia for this, otherwise I might've put Machine over it.
Definitely their most radio-friendly.

Not much to say, I just liked it.

Cannibal
Heavy, balls-to-the-wall and alot of fun. Last half was kinda weaker tho.

As for my placement of Machine, I did this list super quick so I might have to give it another few listens. I think Shadow Zone only ranked higher for me cause I've owned that one for years and only just heard Machine lol | hangth3dj
11.29.23 | Machine is top-tier Static and should be rivalling the #1 spot. Definitely worth giving a few more spins.
Project Regeneration is also sup strong and top-half easily.
I don't get on with Cannibal that much, never have done. It's decent enough, be easily outclassed by most of the discog. |
