08.12.13 | 1999.
during the set one of the camera stands got set on fire, then people started ripping the stage to bits so they could use the wood to make more fires. bonfires everywhere. then RHCP started playing the song Fire. there was a lot of fire that night. |

08.12.13 | Deep Purple - California Jam 1974
Blackmore attacks a camera man smashing one of the TV cameras to pieces with his guitar and then blows up a 450-watt stack which almost blows him and the rest of the band off stage. All because he was pissed about having to go on stage earlier than planned. |

08.12.13 | there was this guy called GG Allin who would take laxatives before going on stage, then throw his own poop into the crowd. he'd also beat up people in the crowd (even women). He was insane. |

08.12.13 | Guns n Roses - Rocket Queen Riot 1991
During a show in Riverport Amphitheatre, Axl Rose spotted someone with a camera in the crowd. After asking through the microphone to the security to take his camera, he decided to take matters into his own hands by jumping onto the guy with the camera, beating him up and fleeing the stage. After a while the rest of the band left which infuriated concert-goers that began throwing bottles on stage, damaging the Amphitheatre and clashing with the police. This resulted in 60 people transferred in hospital, 15 arrests and a destroyed Amphitheatre. Axl, the last rock star. |

08.12.13 | I second the GG Allin mention. One hell of a meltdown.
That reminds me of this time a few years ago that I saw his former band, the Murder Junkies, which features his brother on drums, play a gig in Houston with some local bands. At the end of their set, GG Allin's brother (who had played the entire set butt naked) had a drum solo, which from a technical standpoint was awful. But the worst was that at the end of his set, he proceeded to shove one of his drum sticks up his ass. No fucking joke. I almost puked.
tl;dr. Long story, short: GG Allin's brother is as gross as he is. |

08.12.13 | YoYo nailed it with the Hetzfeldt comment.
Have heard rumors of people being trampled at SMashing Pumpkins concerts, Todd from Dog Fashion Disco shitting on stage, Mike Patton exposing himself and drinking his own piss from a shoe and Courtney Love being a (and showing her) fucking twat. |

The donnington concert in 1988 was far worse, that resulted in the death of people and they had to cancel the 1989 festival. |

08.12.13 | how? what happened? |
JamieTwort
08.12.13 | Yeah, I think so, something like that. They were mainly annoyed because they had to play in daylight so their stage set (which was designed to look good at night) didn't really work. I think they had a giant rainbow which was supposed to light up behind them or something. |
JamieTwort
08.12.13 | Deep Purple played an unbelievable set though. I've got the live album from that show and the last hour is just incredible, the band really channelled their anger and frustration into their music which led to them playing one their most intense performances that I've heard. |
YoYoMancuso
08.12.13 | "YoYo nailed it with the Hertzfeldt comment."
What can I say? I live in a giant bucket. |

08.12.13 | @Fripp: Yeah I reviewed the album actually but I've grown to like it even more since I wrote the review. The first 2 songs are pretty weak but as soon as Mistreated kicks in it's like something happens and everything just clicks and from then on it's one of the best Deep Purple live recordings out there. |
