Long Time Lurker, First Time Poster

List is my favorite albums of all time, in alphabetical order
1Animal Collective
Feels

Considering my username is PurpleBottle and this is my favorite Animal
Collective album of all time, this was an easy 5 to give out. 'Did you see the
Words' is a very underrated track as well and 'Loch Raven' is absolutely
gorgeous, but perhaps the most incredible thing about this album is that
each track on here makes me feel like a little kid again.
2Burial
Burial

Because 'Untrue' blew everyone away, people have forgotten how
absolutely sensational his self-titled album was. More personal and raw,
Will Bevan's 1st album is still his best so far.
3Kraftwerk
Trans-Europe Express

Pioneers in electronic music, Kraftwerk's greatest release was difficult for
me to take at face the first few listens, but once I began to understand
their strange vocals and bizarre sounds, I was entranced forever.
4Massive Attack
Mezzanine

Dark, brooding, and absolutely incredible. Harrowing hypnotic female
vocalists add an extra dimension to the album dominated by 3D and Daddy
G, releasing collectively what has unquestionably become a trip-hop
masterpiece
5Nas
Illmatic

Absolutely incredible from start to finish and released when he was only 19
years old, Nas showed the world just how insanely talented he was. With
nothing to prove to anybody, he unloaded 10 tracks full of empowering
lyrics and impeccable flow that many say have not been matched by any
rapper since.
6Phish
Billy Breathes

This album always has its way with me. Hippie jam band or otherwise, I
can throw this on any time and melt away with their endless jams.
7Pink Floyd
Animals

'Dogs' absolutely blows my mind every time I hear it, and still 'Pigs' and
'Sheep' almost manage to keep pace. The seminal release of one of the
greatest bands of all time
8Radiohead
Kid A

After creating arguably the greatest rock album of the decade in Ok
Computer, Thom Yorke decided to no longer use guitars and draw lyrics out
of a hat for the majority of his next LP. And amazingly, its weird Techno
beats have most probably become the greatest releases of the last
decade.
9Wu-Tang Clan
Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)

"Up from the 36 chambers!" An incredibly innovative album by not 1 but 9
incredibly talented rappers, Wu-tang's debut LP has served as a model for
almost all rap conglomerates that have come out since.
