2013: First Half (songs)

So the first half of 2013 is almost over, and I decided to make a list over my favorite songs from the first half. The order is not that important, it's fairly random. Just wanted to highlight my favorite songs.
30Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
Jubilee Street

dat ending.

The epic on the album, and also the best song imo.
28Vampire Weekend
Finger Back

This song is so catchy and funny (and on the verge of being annoying), but I just love it.
27The World is a Beautiful Place And...
Picture of a Tree That Doesn't Look Okay

The second half of the song in particular is really sweet.
26Biffy Clyro

dat chorus
Feel Like Falling

Very solid album overall. This one stands out to me though, and I love the use of some brass-instruments towards the end.
24The Dear Hunter
Let Go

just so darn' catchy
23Ghost B.C.
Monstrance Clock

abba meets satan
22The National

them melodies
21Dir En Grey

20Steven Wilson
The Raven That Refused to Sing

Killing Birds With Stones

Several great songs on this album, this one clicked right from the start though.
Future Warrior

Perfect combination of Chino's vocals and post-rock.
17The Drones
Why Write a Letter That You'll Never Send

16Olafur Arnalds
Old Skin

Amazing song, the music video is even better.
Paris in the Spring

14Laura Stevenson

Just a fun and catchy songs with great guitars.
13Boards of Canada
Come to Dust

Many good songs on this album, this one is my current favorite.
12Altar of Plagues
A Remedy and a Fever

The judgment day is upon us.

Amazing album overall, this song is probably my favorite.
10My Bloody Valentine
Who Sees You

A vacuum cleaner meets an airplane engine meets amplifiers, and throw in some vocals in the mix.
9The Dillinger Escape Plan
Paranoia Shields

Some slick riffs, a great and catchy chorus and just some heavy stuff going on.
Not Today

Hard to pick a favorite from this album since it's so good overall. But this one is my current favorite.
7Daft Punk
Giorgio by Moroder

My name is Giovanni Giorgio, but everybody calls me Giorgio.
6Queens of the Stone Age
The Vampyre of Time and Memory

I must say that picking a favorite song from this album was difficult. Today, I'm going with this one. But there are five other songs on the album that I would say are AS good; I Sat by the Ocean, My God is the Sun, Fairweather Friends, I Appear Missing and Like Clockwork.
5Sigur Ros

Sigur Ros are back, a bit darker and a bit better than on Valtari, and this song in particular is another classic from them imo.
4Polkadot Cadaver
Impure Thoughts

This song is possibly my favorite Polkadot Cadaver song overall, or at least tied with Forever and a Day. The middle section is just fantastic and reminds me a lot of Adultery.
3The Knife
Full of Fire

This might be my favorite The Knife song in general, it's just epic.
2Justin Timberlake
Blue Ocean Floor

Best on the album without a doubt for me. Some great melodies in this one.

This song in particular reminds me a bit of the Swedish duo/band, First Aid Kit. I just love this one, and I feel like it's a bit different from Eisley. You go Chauntelle!
