08.20.11 | Why did The Throat of Winter EP get taken down from this site? The artwork for it is badass. |

08.20.11 | Jesus... the Elliott Smith albums have some high average ratings on this site. I remember hearing a lot of good things about his music but I don't think I ever got around to listening to an album of his... which is the best one to start with?
I used to be a huge Buckethead fan but I don't recall ever hearing that song, so I'll definitely check it out. |

08.20.11 | Tad Piecka makes some bloody good instrumental acoustic albums. But for vocal backed? Dang, that one's hard... Totally check out the Tallest Man on Earth, though I assume you probably have at some point... All the Empires of the World is somewhat acoustic, but then leads into a more post-metal approach. They also have slight vocals on '[I Perceive Your Resonance]' which is on the album Blessings. Speaking Horrors by Cemeteries is fairly acoustic as well. Also, try Balmorhea, they're mostly instrumental, however, they're certainly rather unique. |

08.20.11 | Mountain Man - Made the Harbor
some beautiful folky shit right there made from 3 mega hipster girls from vermont who are all very mediocre looking. I think you'll dig it.
also, check out johnny hobo, because he's folk punk / acoustic and it rules.

08.20.11 | I've only heard "XO" from Elliott Smith, and it's really good.
If you don't mind drum and bass in addition to guitar to vox, you can try The Shins. Listen to "New Slang" and if you like it, check out the rest of the album Oh, Inverted World. And no, the rest of the album isn't as good as New Slang but it's still good |
