Take Me On A Journey
These are 5 albums that when I listen to bring up strong emotions. Not
all of the them are the best musically speaking but are all dear to me
and are a part of my life. |
1 | | NoFX So Long and Thanks for all the shoes
This was the album of my Sophomore year in high school. It has so many
different sides to it just like there are so many sides to life, whatever happened
that day I could listen to this and relate to it. |
2 | | Billy Talent Billy Talent
Billy Talent was the band that got me into punk. This was one of the first
albums that filled me with that exciting gut churning energy that I love. So
many great songs, all of them etched into my brain. |
3 | | Wilco Sky Blue Sky
My Dad's favorite album. I hated listening to it because he played it in the car all
the time. But after listening to it and taking some time it really grew on me.
There is a trancelike sound that slowly pulls you in and doesn't let go until the
end. |
4 | | Van Halen Van Halen
First album I ever loved. My friend showed it to me one day and i couldn't
believe it. The guitar mastery of Eddie and the cocky flying vocal of David Lee
Roth. Van Halen would be my favorite band for 3 years and this is still in my
opinion their best. |
5 | | Misfits Walk Among Us
I am a huge misfits fan. I love all the incarnations including the Jerry Only
version. They all posses this raw energy that has yet to be matched by any
other punk band. This album is the best representation of what the misfits are,
horror drenched fast paced melodic punk. |
