Great Album Art (part 3)

Trying to get back into this.

3Burst
Lazarus Bird
4Coliseum
No Salvation

Ryan Patterson is another great metal artist that seems kind of underrated.
5Death
Individual Thought Patterns

Death's post-Spiritual Healing albums have this really nice painted quality to
them that is so much more effective than the Cannibal Corpse approach.
6Porcupine Tree
Fear of a Blank Planet

The deep blues in here are so great.
7Tarentel
From Bone to Satellite

I actually attended a presentation by the projectionist for this band. As for
the album cover, there's a nice contrast between the dark sky and the city.
8Swans
My Father Will Guide Me Up a Rope To The Sky

The way this is painted is just so visceral.
9Tool
Lateralus

Tool themselves is an on-off thing for me, but the Alex Grey covers are the
greatest thing since fractals to fascinate really high people.
10Porcupine Tree
Lightbulb Sun
11Rosetta
A Determinism of Morality
12Portugal. The Man
The Satanic Satanist

The color quality is beautiful.
13Hammock
Chasing After Shadows...Living with the Ghosts

This cover really reminds me a lot of the whole Ophelia concept.
14Mastodon
Remission

Paul Romano's work for Mastodon is incredible. It really seems to have
defined their whole aesthetic. The image just feels really intense and
forceful.
15Bjork
Volta

Easily Bjork's weakest album, but it has an incredible cover.
16Sunn O)))
Monoliths and Dimensions

I just found out that this cover is actually a Richard Serra piece.

18Death Cab for Cutie
Narrow Stairs

I don't know how I feel about the album, but the cover rules.
