Acanthus: Ghost In The Shell

Acanthus 06.12.11	Yup, this is random music/anime/video game week.
Trebor. 06.12.11	The movie is so good.
Acanthus 06.12.11	So far I've watched the first (1995) one, and am over halfway into S.A.C. After I'll watch Innocence, then 2nd GIG followed by Solid State Society. I plan on finding the OST to the first film, the music is gorgeous.

Acanthus 06.12.11	Yup I've got them all, it's a nice feeling.
Infernis 06.12.11	Oh yeah it's an awesome series but nothing will make me rage more than that one episode with the robots with the high voices. There was an episode and the entire thing was them talking and my head almost exploded. SO ANNOYING.
omnipanzer 06.12.11	Great, series. SAC Second season is the better of the two IMO. The movie is legend. Next get the Appleseed movies or Armitage III movies.

Acanthus 06.12.11	I just haven't got my hands on it yet, I really really liked it though. The animation was curious yet well done, and I enjoyed the soundtrack.

Acanthus 06.12.11	Yeah had a movie night and we started it with that, I really was taken by the entire plot.

You should check out Yoko Kanno's four soundtracks to the Stand Alone Complex anime series, some supremely awesome music. Acanthus 06.12.11	@WashboardSuds - I have a friend whose the same way, the political intrigue puts her off I think, but it could also be my occasional disdain of Cowboy Bebop (which she adores) that causes her to turn a blind eye. And thanks for the kudos, I'm really liking it so far. @Trebor17 - It's really good so far, hopefully you like it too!

Hyperion1001 06.12.11	Bebop was the best series to come out of japan, by quite a large margin actually. Films are a different story though.

Acanthus 06.12.11	@Hyperion - I never saw them, lack of interest I suppose. I enjoy the late 80's through 90's art style immensely than the studios were using, the lack of CG made everything far more stylistic to me. The shorter anime's can be good, I love series that are around 25-50 episodes personally.
Acanthus 06.12.11	FMA is good, but the "Brotherhood" version out now pisses me off since I watched all the 52 episodes (or something like that) of the previous one for nothing AND they changed voice actors. It was unacceptable.

Hyperion1001 06.12.11	Bebop, stylistically, was perfect. Perfect soundtrack, perfect direction, excellent characters. It was the height if what the japanese animation industry could achieve artistically.
Acanthus 06.12.11	I'd love to have them, but unless I get them used it'd be quite expensive to own all of them :/ If anyone likes short series go watch Elfen Lied (13 episodes) and see the bloodiest anime I've yet to find (Berserk was not impressive).
Acanthus 06.12.11	The sound was top notch, and I really don't think that the space cowboy theme would have worked at any other time than when it released. Luckily the members of that studio are still around as far as I know?
