In the time between me falling out of favor with Smash Mouth, the first band I really got into full album-wise (don't laugh, Astro Lounge still has some genuine bangers), after their 2001 self-titled album (which I got that Christmas pretty much immediately after it came out as a gift) seriously disappointed me, and me getting into modern rock stuff like Green Day and System of a Down, I was mainly listening to The Eminem Show, Stankonia, and a Busta Rhymes best-of that came out around that pocket of time, because a friend in elementary school who was into a wide variety of music owned all three. While that same friend could never convince me when it came to Simple Plan or Good Charlotte, at least there was Em, Andre, Big Boi, and Busta for us to enjoy together. :-)
