So it's been 2 years now...

...since I've posted anything here. I've tried to keep up on who is releasing what, but it's been kind of hard, so I'm slowly getting back into it, catching up on the 20 something artists I've missed. List is books and albums I've been digging lately.or am planning to listen to or read.
1Metallica
...And Justice for All

The Magicians - Kind of a depressing book, I certainly wasn't expecting this, so I'm not sure if I love it or hate it (might be a bit of both). Still it's worth the read.
2Dance Gavin Dance
Instant Gratification

Harry Potter series - What better way to get back into reading than with the series that got me into it in the first place. Rowling must be a witch; the way she manages to make you go through 7 books with one of the most atrocious heroes ever (Harry and Ron deserve to die, Hermione can be a bitch, but at least she owns it)
3Protest the Hero
Volition

Foundation - I don't think I've ever read a Sci-fi novel, and I was afraid that this wouldn't be accessible. as it turns out, it's fairly easy to read, but can get kind of tedious with all the politics. Nonetheless, it's very interesting how the author was able to create such a coherent universe in the 1950's
4Kendrick Lamar
To Pimp a Butterfly

A Song of Ice and Fire series - I was planning to read these when the show was cancelled or just over, but one of my friends is being such a bitch about how the show strays way too much from the source material, so I'm just going to get on with reading them so I can show that you can enjoy both.
5Circa Survive
Descensus

Boneshaker - Zombies in a Steampunk universe, 'nuf said here.
6Letlive.
The Blackest Beautiful

50 Shades of Grey - jk, I felt like I got ripped off just by watching the movie (that I didn't pay for)
7Silverstein
I Am Alive In Everything I Touch

Metro 2033 - I don't know what to expect with this one. I've heard a lot of great things about it, but I'm not that hyped.
8The Dillinger Escape Plan
One of Us Is the Killer

Dune- I did not care for the movie, but this is a classic, so of course I need to read it
