Glassjaw's Setlist...

As some of you know, I decided to go and see Glassjaw last Saturday despite not being a huge fan. Well, the show turned me into one. It was insane, and I'm steal healing up from it. Here's their setlist, along with some observations made during each song. I urge you all to see them if you have the chance.
1Glassjaw
You Think You're (John Fucking Lennon)

They took their sweet-ass time coming out on stage. Seth Green look-alike next to me kept drunkenly screaming "YOU THINK YOU'RE JOHN FUCKING LENNON MAAAAAN!". I suppose he somehow knew what they would be opening with. Within the first ten seconds I was lost somewhere between a heavyset guy in a leather jacket and a skinhead. I was almost cooked alive. 9/10
2Tip Your Bartender

...or otherwise known as the song where everybody lost their fucking mind. I got kicked in the sides multiple times by slam dancers and various other fanatics. Still, it was pretty intense. The whole crowd shifted like a violent ocean. 10/10
3Mu Empire

I honestly don't remember much because I had to duck out near the end of the song. I was already so worn out and beaten down by this song that I was drunkenly falling over everybody (they did the same, so it was all cool). Did I mention that just a few months earlier I had shattered my ankle and tibia and now had a titanium rod in my leg? Yeah, that didn't help my stamina one bit. 8/10
4Stars

I stepped back to the standing crowd for this one, dancing in place as various drunks and druggies cycled through the ranks. Shot the shit with a guy for a few minutes who was complaining about them not playing his favorite song yet. I decided halfway through to enter the ranks of the front crowd again, but got knocked on my ass by moshers. 8/10
5Ape Dos Mil

And so I sat back again. This song was pretty fun to sing along to. Some drunk guy and his girlfriend were making out and shoving their way through everybody though, which made me almost pop someone in the head. 10/10
6Glassjaw
The Gillette Cavalcade Of Sports

Another pretty chill song, but a lot heavier live. I sat back and danced a bit. Don't actually remember it all that much. 7/10
7Glassjaw
Pink Roses

At this point my big Mexican friend (aka, The Gentle Giant) picked me up and charged me to the front of the crowd. I spazed the fuck out for a while, until someone's hand grabbed my face and pulled me back. It was some big guy who someone managed to start crowd surfacing from behind. I let his ass fall. 8/10
8Jesus Glue

Really intense song. In the front ranks a lot of people were worn out so everybody sorta just danced around and shoved each other a bit. We were one big sweaty mass. 9/10
9Natural Born Farmer

I stepped back again, trying to find a drink to bum off of somebody. No luck, though I did get a bunch of beer sprayed on me (and a bunch of other people). The vocal performance was awesome on this one, and really stood out amongst the other songs. 9/10
10All Good Junkies Go to Heaven

The previous song got me all worked up because of the lyrics and my agitated state of mind. So naturally, I sorta lost it on this one. Had a lot of fun doing my half Thom Yorke half slam dance to this one. 9/10
11El Mark

Never heard this song before, all I remember is that it was the "driving miss Daisy" song. It was okay. 6/10
12Glassjaw
Convectuoso

Another one I never heard, but apparently it's kind of old (like from their first album era). At least that's what I was told. It was okay. The build up was awesome. 7/10
13Glassjaw
Two Tabs of Mescaline

Pretty awesome. Jumped between the mosh pit and the standing crowd. Lots of people stage diving. Lots of people being escorted out of the club. 9/10
14Siberian Kiss

Now, I know for a fact this is off the first record. It was pretty okay, but i really didn't care for the first album. By this time I was too dead to care though. 6/10
15Black Nurse

Fucking awesome. We were asked if we wanted to hear more Glassjaw, or, Skynyrd covers. You can imagine all the chants for "Freebird". Danced with this cute little blonde girl. It was the start of the encore, so I had a chance to catch my breath. 10/10
16Gold

More dancing! Again, danced with the little blonde girl. She was pretty tough. Should've got her name or something. FUCK. Anyways, pretty chill song. 9/10
17Vanilla Poltergeist Ghost

Probably the coolest song to watch them play live. The keyboards fucking killed. Drunken hillbilly ran through the crowd yelling "SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINE" (as in moonshine, I think) 10/10
18Miracles in Inches

Another fantastic vocal performance. Someone threw a beer bottle at the stage before the song. Thankfully, nobody got hit. "What is this, a fucking Metallica concert?"; awesome. 9/10
19Stations of the New Cross

Very relaxing and hypnotic. Great live, but looses a lot of it's vibe. Still, very cool. 8/10
20Daytona White

Fuck yeah. Amazing vocals. Amazing keyboards. Just amazing. Great way to end a show, despite the fat drunk idiot yelling "What the fuck was that?!" at the end of the show. 10/10
