Basically, in my userpic, a sheep is watching Richard Dawkins on TV and it's not going to understand what he's saying because religion has crippled its thinking and reasoning skills. It will sheep its way to church every Sunday and whenever possible, infect its sheepiness onto others.
It's hard for most sheep to unsheep themselves when they are either indoctrinated at a young age or they've built their lives and many relationships around such a narrow-minded worldview.

That's just one of many many examples. Think of the religious right trying to push for creationism taught in public schools or the Texas school board trying to erase Thomas Jefferson from textbooks.
