08.01.10 | Not really...because if the only thing that makes something that is perceived as "in the present" actually "in the past" is the delay of perception versus action, then your perception of what is present actually BECOMES the present.
Sure, if the sun were to die out right now, just disappear, it would take us three minutes to perceive what had happened...but that would still mean that, to us, the sun would have simply disappeared, even if it was actually three minutes later, because we weren't where the sun was, and therefore cannot perceive "the present" from the sun's perspective.
That's why time is an irrelevant concept: because our perception can change what time is. |
