Favorite Rec Bands Since Joining Sputnik
Since I joined Sputnik a little while back, I took in recs you guys gave for the first list and these are my favorites of the new bands I have picked up since then. I would like more recs from these so I can find even more good bands. Progressive is the preferred genre and I am already looking into Pink Floyd so no need for that rec. Thanks all!! |
1 | Porcupine Tree
Can't get enough of this band as of now, the switch from acoustic to heavy songs(or even inside of a song) is simply incredible and I really love Steven Wilson's voice. |
2 | Radiohead
This band is a unique experience to say the least, very good and intelligent music. |
3 | Pixies
Since I'm a fan of Nirvana and Alice in Chains this band became a natural fit for me, love that style of music they make. |
4 | Nine Inch Nails
I have listened to a few of their singles before but "The Downward Spiral" and "The Fragile" really opened my eyes to how epic an album could be. |
5 | Faith No More
Another Great find. "Angel Dust" is quickly becoming one of my favorite albums and Mike Patton really has some chops! |
6 | Dream Theater
Scenes From a Memory is a phenomenal album period. |
7 | Judas Priest
Being a fan of Iron Maiden I knew I would like this band, Painkiller is great along with Sad Wings of Destiny. |
8 | Megadeth
Never listened to Rust In Peace until coming onto sputnik, The technical brilliance of these songs is astounding. |
9 | Muse
Another unique band, love the space rock themes |
10 | Jethro Tull
Thick as a brick is an amazing album from an amazing band. |
