| My Favorite Albums
Completely unoriginal, but I'm bored. Troll it up, ladies.
I love classic South Park. I'm watcing the chicken Pox episode. Completely awesome. "Are you sure you stayed at Kenny's?" "Yeah, I told you dude. We had bread sandwiches for breakfast." | 1 | | Modest Mouse The Lonesome Crowded West
Incredible album. I adore the eccentricites and craziness, the incredible lyrics, the wide, expansive, western feel, and pretty much everything about it. Cowboy Dan, Styrafoam Boots, and Heart Cooks Brain are among my all-time favorite songs. | 2 | | Modest Mouse The Moon & Antarctica
I love it for many of the same reasons I love TLCW obviously. With a softer, more spacey feel, it combines their older, zanier sound with the newer, poppier sound to create another masterpiece. | 3 | | mewithoutYou Brother, Sister
It is rare for anything to really make me well up with emotion, but this is one of the few albums that does. The softer approach that mewithoutYou had progressed to, combined with excellent songwriting, and deep, meaningful lyrics, this album is so beautiful it makes me want to weep. | 4 | | mewithoutYou Catch For Us the Foxes
Just as incredible as Brother, Sister, but with more of their older, rawer sound. Aaron Weiss and Isaac Brock are my two favorite lyricists. | 5 | | Propagandhi Supporting Caste
The hardcore sound with the punk mentality is perfect for me, as regular punk fails to stick with me. For someone who hate politics, it's surprising how much I love their "this is how it is, and fuck you" mentality. The dark, biting, sarcastic lyrics are excellent. | 6 | | Propagandhi Today's Empires, Tomorrow's Ashes
See 5. | 7 | | The Number Twelve Looks Like You Mongrel
I shamelessly love this band. The orchestrated chaos and the combination of shrieks and growls is immensely appealing to me. Jay Walking Backwards and Grandfather are incredible, and Weekly Wars was one of the best live experiences I've had. This album just edges Worse Than Alone for me. | 8 | | empire! empire! (i was a lonely estate) What It Takes to Move Forward
This rocketed up my favorites. Not necessarily a whole lot of variety, but it's incredible (and very sad). Runner up: La Dispute - Somewhere at the Bottom of the River Between Vega and Altair | 9 | | The Dear Hunter Act III: Life and Death
Toss up between this and a Portugal. The Man album. I couldn't pick a single P.TM album, so this will get the spot. | 10 | | Converge Jane Doe
So terribly typical. Runner up: The Jonbenet - Ugly/Heartless | |

05.17.10 | Wow, all the artwork? I impress myself. I probably shouldn't have 3 bands with 2 albums each, but I love those bands so much. | Baphomet
05.17.10 | good stuff.
Ilike Act II better, though. | MusicIsMyFavorite
05.17.10 | It's good to see another Mongrel lover. Grandfather is one of #12's greatest songs | widowslaugh123
05.17.10 | nuclear sad nuclear is the best they have done.
first four choices are great. | mmfarva
05.17.10 | Nuclear. Sad. Nuclear. could definitely benefit from better production. |
