Boris

ranked.. only LPs because it gets confusing otherwise

Boris At Last - Feedbacker

This is Boris at their absolute best. It is basically just one song, but it is probably the most intense thing I've listened to. 45 minutes of pure energy.
2Boris
Flood

After rather "heavy" two albums, Boris releasee their most beautiful album.
3Boris
Akuma no uta

The best "stoner rock" Boris album. It's even a tad better than "Heavy Rocks" because the songs just feel more cohesive. It is pretty diverse as it mixes all of the styles of their previous albums.
4Boris
Heavy Rocks

A personal favourite because it just rocks so much. Boris provide some kickass riffs and destructive drums and release their most fun album.
5Boris
Amplifier Worship

The first brilliant Boris album, Amplifier Worship combines drone and sludge with a huge dose of diversity thrown in to great results.
6Boris
Pink

The most accesible Boris? Probably yes. But its not worse than their other albums because of that. Boris abandon most the drone in favour of some shorter, punching rock songs. Opener Farewell (which sometimes sounds like a Deftones song) is one of thei best songs.
7Boris
Dronevil

Sounds a lot darker than their other drone albums and contains some (dark) ambient parts. Sounds way better when both discs are played simultaneously.
8Boris
Smile

A pretty different album for me. It's actually their most "mainstream" effort because of it consisting of just rock song, but it still quite packs a punch. Didn't differentiate between the japanese and american version, because I feel they are equally good.
9Boris
Absolutego

Debut album showing a lot of promise already. The ideas were there, but they just did it better on successive releases.
10Boris
Vein (Hardcore version)

The worst Boris LP, this time playing noisecore/hardcore punk. It's not bad, but Vein feels so unfocused when compared to their other material.
11Boris
Vein (Drone Version)

Probably the only time I yawned when listening to these guys.
