10.15.13 | Couple of times where I have had that transition stage half awake happened during a nightmare once it gave me the willies for about 15 mins afterwards. Extremely rare tho thankfully. |
evilford
10.15.13 | this has happened to me on occasion. it's strange, usually it happens with nightmares, and usually it happens coming from sleep rather than going to sleep.
my eyes will open and I'll see where I really am but will still be experiencing my dream. I have thoughts about the things around me and realize I'm dreaming at the same time but I can't control things in my dream like I can consciously control my thoughts. like I can be thinking about where I really am and what I'm seeing but I'm completely subject to whatever my subconscious throws into my dream at the same time.
something like that. kinda freaky |
evilford
10.15.13 | and yeah you're completely powerless to any kind of physical movement during all of this |

10.15.13 | That's fucked up dude. I've only had something like that happen to me once. It only lasted about thirty seconds, but damn it was frightening. |
shredaman
10.15.13 | ya i actually had a really fucked up sleep paralasis the other night my self...saw something with a blurred face coming at me really slowly almost zombie like in my room.....snapped out of it rolled over fell back into the paralasis with the blurred face right beside me amost in my peripherals |

evilford
10.15.13 | yeah I think in the almost 2 years I've been on this site I've seen like one other list about this, maybe I'm not paying attn idk |
Drummerboy123
10.15.13 | I can remember one inception type dream I had where I thought I woke up, something would happen and then I would wake up again. Like a dream inside a dream inside a dream in another dream.
Fucked me up, made me question reality when it happened. Also had ones where my leg is amputated, wake up, and then look at my leg to see a massive cut through it. Freaks me the fuck out. |
StallionMang
10.15.13 | My friend gets this all the time, and the stories he tells are pretty unbelievable. Never had anything like this happen to me, but I do get false awakenings all the time, and people tell me I sleepwalk a lot. |
rockandmetaljunkie
10.15.13 | I have experienced SP at least 8 times during the last 6 years. I wouldn't describe it as a positive experience. |
StallionMang
10.15.13 | "Also had ones where my leg is amputated, wake up, and then look at my leg to see a massive cut through it."
I've had seemingly random things happen in dreams, and then I'll wake up but have something happen later that day that directly correlates to what happened in my dream. It's almost like deja vu when you realize it, it's really weird. |
JokineAugustus
10.15.13 | This happened to me once. |
StallionMang
10.15.13 | @rockandmetal- Yeah, I'm pretty thankful I've never had to go through it, can't imagine what that must feel like. |
owen
10.15.13 | Happened to me when I was little(yes even smaller than now)
I saw weird shit projected on the ceiling and if I closed my eyes I'd just see the same stuff.
Worst night of my life, it went on for hours. |

shit is freaky as fuuuuuck |
rockandmetaljunkie
10.15.13 | "can't imagine what that must feel like"
Anxiety at first while you try to get used to it, then comes the pointless struggle to move your limbs
(it's worthless because your brain will determine when your nerves will get reactivated), and then
when you finally get your movement restored you feel extremely tired. The worst part you have to deal
with is your subconscious. The weird sounds you get to hear or the disturbing hallucinations you're
receiving make this whole experience unbearable. |

04.11.20 | I've suffered from this since I was 6
These days it only happens sporadically, but when shit hits the fan it's always the same terrifying experience. One would think I'd have created some kind of mental resistance against it. |

Jasdevi087
04.11.20 | i've had this a couple of times but the first time I had it was definitely the most vivid. was at the end of a 3 day bender, all i could hear was this constant barrage of white noise which an old-timey type song that doesn't exist kept fading in and out of. remember trying as hard as i fucking could to switch on a light but every time i tried i could see a new light switch appear on the wall. the whole time there was this completely black, looming humanoid mass moving towards me until it was eventually leaning over me. at one point i imagined i had gotten up but fell against the wall.
the fear was fucking unreal, so goddamn intense my full sympathy is with anyone that experiences that on a regular basis, felt like it went on for hours |
Thalassic
04.11.20 | I experienced different things during my sleep paralysis episodes. One symptom that consistently returns is that it always feels like my head is violently shivering.
Due to the "head shaking symptoms" I once got tested if I had some kind of neurological condition, but the tests were negative. |

04.11.20 | Funny that |
