New Things Like Dead Dogs

My thoughts on new things in music. Note some things are merely 'new' to me but 'old' to the general populace. I hope that makes the context of this list clearer.

This is my first extol album to listen to all the way through. I remember listening to a bunch of extol songs on imeem back in the day but never really delved into an album theirs. This new album of theirs kicks serious ass.
2Benea Reach

I wanted something that sounded a lot like extol and in a review of extol's self titled record they mentioned this band as a possible analogue. And that reviewer didn't lead me wrong brothers. This is a fun record.
Heart of Oak

A reviewer of extol's self titled record right here at sputnik thought enough of these Anciients to lis them in the recommend by reviewer section and good on him cuz it got me to check this shit out and I'm glad i did it's real, real good.
Insomniac Doze

I always preferred this to a dead sinking story.
5Denison Witmer
Denison Witmer

I really liked this guy's record philadelphia songs but haven't listened to any of his music since like '08-'09 so I decided to look into his newest record and it's remarkably pleasant.
6 Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan
Ballad of Broken seas

I really like their cover of "Ramblin' Man"
7Sharon van Etten

I didn't give this record a listen when it first came out and what the fuck was i thinkin this shit is beautiful and cool.
8Jason Isbell

This man can write a fuckin tune I tell ya what.
9Kowloon Walled City
Gambling on the Richter Scale

Damn this is heavy as a fucking earthquake. See what i did there.

"The Beautiful Axe"
Time is a Machine

I didn't much care for wooden heart I was more of a return to struggleville kinda guy but holy shit is their newest record great. Basically if wooden heart would have worked it woulda sounded like time is a machine but it didn't so..
