| So, Give Me Something To Listen To?
These are my current big digs, anything you could recommend me from them? | 1 | | Greg Laswell Take A Bow
Recently found him through watching TV,creates such nice music. | 2 | | Greg Laswell Three Flights From Alto Nido | 3 | | Silent Descent Duplicity
They do it better than Attack Attack! | 4 | | A Lot Like Birds Plan B
Have a thing for post-hardcore, especially when atmosphere is applied. | 5 | | Hannah Georgas This Is Good
Found her through the staff blog. Nice happy stuff. | 6 | | Hannah Georgas The Beat Stuff | 7 | | Manchester Orchestra Mean Everything To Nothing
Strangely calming, despite being quite 'heavy' indie, which I really enjoy, and would love it if you could show me some more | 8 | | Marina And The Diamonds The Family Jewels
I have a thing for female indie vocalists in the same vain as this. | 9 | | mewithoutYou Brother, Sister
It's good. | 10 | | Parades Foreign Tapes
I love the end of Marigolds. So much! | 11 | | Regina Spektor Far
My girlfriend got me into her. Missed out on seeing her live because of term times though, annoyed me so much. | 12 | | Regina Spektor Begin To Hope | 13 | | Emery In Shallow Seas We Sail
I really like it.. | 14 | | Bon Iver For Emma, Forever Ago
Ahh Bonn.. | 15 | | Bon Iver Blood Bank EP
Blood Bank is such a good song for long travels | 16 | | Rise Against The Sufferer and the Witness
I don't there's ever been a time, since I heard these several years ago, that I've stopped digging them. | 17 | | Explosions In The Sky All of a Sudden, I Miss Everyone
Calms me down like nothing else. | 18 | | Plan B The Defamation Of Strickland Banks
I just love it! | |

08.23.10 | Haven't heard most of these albums, so I'll just rec some stuff that I've been digging lately.
Eleventh He Reaches London-Hollow Be My Name (post-hardcore mixed w/ a bunch of different stuff. Very good, lyrics are worth reading, they fit the music quite well)
Camel-Moonmadness (Progressive Rock)
Eels-Tomorrow Morning (Alt/Indie. Not out yet, but streaming on the band's Myspace. Surprisingly happy record, one of the band's best)
Comus-First Utterance (Very odd/disturbing progressive folk album) | dnor
08.23.10 | Only albums I know/like are 7, 9, and 14. Oh, and listen to vanderb0b, he knows what's up. | geng
08.23.10 | For 17 try:
Mogwai- Happy Songs For Happy People
Godspeed You! Black Emperor- Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven
Red Sparowes- At The Soundless Dawn | Prolapse
08.23.10 | pixies
LISTEN TO THE FUCKING PIXIES!!!!!! | Yeahtoast
08.23.10 | Pixies rule. So does 3, for 3 maybe try Black Comedy. | SaveYourBreath
08.23.10 | That Eleventh He Reaches London is really good, I'm going to have to listen to more off themm
I tried to listen to Eels, but the myspace player is broken.
I did youtube them, and they seem alriight.
Comus.. wow.. it really is disturbing, but I reckon I might be able to enjoy it given time.
Pixies are great though!
A Voice Like Rhetoric are okay, I mean, I bet I'll love them if I give them a proper hard listen, but the singing sounds really, well.. highschool bandish to me for some reason...
Yet to listen to your recs Geng, but I will get around to it, promises.
Thanks guys!
