My Top Bands Of 2009
Here are some bands that most people have yet to hear, or have heard and love. But they are my favorite of 2009 so far. |
1 | Oceana
The Tide was mind-blowing and I wanted more. Then they booted their frontman and got Taulbee, and also created the masterpiece named Birth.Eater. Hardcore couldn't get much better. |
2 | Asking Alexandria
These UK boys are in the same musical vein as Attack Attack!. I listened to their myspace songs repeatedly and had a fit when I saw Stand Up And Scream coming out. |
3 | Of Machines
Beautiful vocals that are emotionally charged and refreshing. Spacey guitar work that calms me down whenever and wherever. |
4 | The Devil Wears Prada
While being my favorite band, they did not make my favorite album this year. But anything they make I will be happy with, until another Plague comes. |
5 | Broadway
This is my jamming music, and what I relax to after a long day. The vocals are really outstanding. |
6 | A Day To Remember
I waited so long. SO LONG, for anything these guys were going to release. Their new songs are catchier, and now I find myself singing any of their songs at any moment in the day. |
7 | Rose Funeral
Mindless gore makes for interesting songs. Well atleast sometimes. I chant their material whenever I want something offensive, but cool. |
8 | Dance Gavin Dance
Always a fan of DGD. They are turning from their "core" roots, and moving towards a faster, spacier sound, which is really cool. |
9 | Suicide Silence
Probably not the most creative band, but Mitch Lucker makes me crap myself. |
10 | Emmure
The most talentless band I listen to. But they are the funnest and one of the catchiest. I'll always be a fan. |
11 | Earth From Above
Probably the best newcommer deathcore band of the year. Dual vocals and great breakdowns make their debut awesome. |
12 | We Came As Romans
I just realized this year how good these guys are. |
13 | August Burns Red
Whatever these guys make, I will listen to, unless the singing kicks in. |
14 | Dead In Existance
Keyboard really sounds the same in every song in the release they made this year. But I still like it. |
15 | A Skylit Drive
These guys were awesome at warped tour. Really catchy and Jag is a great singer. |
16 | Texas In July
August Burns Red's little brothers. (Not really). But they mind as well be, they sound close enough. |
17 | Oceano
I would like to say that they play atmospheric deathcore. Because that's what it is to me. |
18 | Vanna
Safe To Say that these guys are awesome. |
19 | Iwrestledabearonce
Chick screaming ftw. I love their fun loving music, and the random Mario outbursts. |
20 | I See Stars
I wish I could have seen these guys at any time. Watching them have fun in the What This Means to me video leads me to believe that they put on a good show. |
