06.01.16 | Before saying anything else, apologies for technically posting 2 lists today. It's a new day where I am (China) already.
Converge have easily been my favourite band over the past 5 and a half years and I wanted to try make a list of my top 50 Converge songs. However, after realising that I couldn't even decide what my favourite songs on each album were, I decided to rank their discography. Each day I will post the next album's ranking, and then end with my top Converge songs (including non-album tracks). When Forever Comes Crashing is a great album (although one of the weaker efforts in the band's discography) that really thrives off its atmosphere. No other Converge album sounds quite as evil and 'heavy' as this one. Every song has an incredibly angry and sinister vibe to it which really adds a lot to this release and sets it apart from other Converge efforts.

06.01.16 | This was by far the hardest Converge album to rank. The songs kind of all bleed into one despite having more variety than most Converge albums. But I think the slow, sludgy tracks are standouts and the opener has always been a favourite of mine. |
