DoOrDie 10.01.09	I generally try to move through albums chronologically, at least as much as possible. Thrice has been my favourite band pretty much since the Illusion of Safety, but since their music style has changed quite a bit since then, one could easily prefer the newer stuff over the old or vice versa. I'll agree that Vheissu is Thrice's magnum opus, but I still love the rest of their work. I do think starting on the Alchemy Indices would be weird though.

Man, I figure that if someone's getting into Thrice, it's because of the newer albums, but I am not the biggest Thrice fan to ever grace the earth. All 4 are excellent, not to mention I do love Artist In The Ambulance as well. Awesome band

redsparrow 10.01.09	Beggars isn't by any means their weakest record. That would be Illusion of Safety and prior stuff. And even so Illusion is awesome. I just said to you get their previous stuff so you could get the changes through the time from the perspective of people that like them for ages.

redsparrow 10.01.09	My opinion is that Beggars could quite possibly be one of the best records of the decade. So to me, it isn't weak.
BigTuna 10.01.09	Get all of their stuff at once, and listen to it from the beginning. By the time you get to Beggars, you will realize the absolute brilliance of the album. It sounds like a shit ton of work, but it'll pay off. Plus, all the other albums dominate as well.

Inveigh 10.01.09	Well, if you are just getting into Thrice, I'd say get one of either Artist in the Ambulance or Vheissu. If you like AitA better, go next with Illusion of Safety, if you like Vheissu better then go with Beggars next. I love Thrice.
