08.04.09 | Rusty Cooley, Piglet, Andres Sergovia, Allan Holdsworth, Shawn Lane... |
Bullitt
08.04.09 | The jesters dance by in flames is a short but sweet instrumental I have been digging lately. |
MetalMassacreAttack
08.04.09 | Woah! So many names... IĀ“ll need some time but IĀ“ll definitely check those out. I love Metal but IĀ“m pretty open minded, so weĀ“ll see. Thanks. |

08.04.09 | Rush "La Villa Strangiato" from Hemispheres |

08.04.09 | As you have the Ides of March listed......you could try:
Iron Maiden - Transylvania (from their 1st album) |
thebbqshrimp
08.04.09 | Bela Fleck and the Flecktones -- "Stomping Grounds," "The Sinister Minister"
Return To Forever -- "Vulcan Words"
Weather Report -- "Teen Town," "Birdland"
All Jazz Fusion, but TREMENDOUS instrumental performances by all musicians. |

08.04.09 | Alright lemme give you guys some feedback:
In Flames: Jesters Dance: Great, I might even give In Flames a chance after this (I donĀ“t like Death Metal at all, but they donĀ“t seem to be that heavy anways)
Rush: La Villa strangiato: Interesting and varied stuff, maybe not my cup of tea, but I liked it.
Stargazer: Thanks bud, IĀ“m already a big fan of MaidenĀ“s intrumentals. Transylvania, Genghis Kahn, and Losfer Words are all favourites of mine, though I listed The Ides Of March because IĀ“d love to find more songs like it.
Keep Ā“em comin! |

08.04.09 | How about The Scorpions "Coast to Coast"? |
MetalMassacreAttack
08.04.09 | Another In Flames track, Pallar Anders Visa: Beautiful and acoustice, but way too short.
Return To Forever- Vulcan words: Too crazy for me to like :/
Scorpions- Coast To Coast: I couldnĀ“t find its studio version on youtube, but I donĀ“t think IĀ“d enjoy it that much, judging by the live version I watched.

08.04.09 | Only other instrumentals that spring to mind are:
Falling - by Pain of Salvation
2112 (Overture) - by Rush
Epilogue - by Opeth
Still I'm Sad - by Rainbow (Not the live version as it has vocals!) |
thebbqshrimp
08.04.09 | Lol yeah, that one is pretty crazy. Try Bela Fleck. Some truly outrageous musicians. Bass, in particular. Same with Weather Report. |
Bullitt
08.04.09 | I'm glads you like the jesters dance. I just got that album and i love it, i got their new one " a sense of purpose" first and it blows. The whole "jester race" album is incredible, i think you would like it. |
MetalMassacreAttack
08.04.09 | Thanks once again. Feedback:
Opeth- Epologue: Nice. Not as epic as MetallicaĀ“s, but beautiful nevertheless.
Rainbow- Still IĀ“m Sad: This one is a winner. Awkwardly similar to a brazillian coutry song, lol.
Yet another In Flames Song (damn you!)- Only For The Weak: I liked it, and will download the Jesters Race album later ^^
Pain Of Salvations- Falling: Decent, but once again too short.
Bella Fleck- Stomping Grounds: Very interesting one. But I have to be honest to you, itĀ“s not like the type of thing that IĀ“lll be listening in my ipod hehehe. Maybe I wasnĀ“t born for jazz/fusion.
Weather Report- Teen Town: Hm, this one is more catchy, but still crazy.
By the way, bbq, how come you gave 5 to an album (Brokecyde something) thatĀ“s rated 1.2 by the community as whole? Was that some kind of joke or? IĀ“m curious lol! |
thebbqshrimp
08.04.09 | Haha yeah it's definitely a joke. I don't give 5 ratings bc of my own weird feelings towards considering a 5 to be perfect and having a hard time rating an album as perfect, etc. So I chose to give my sole 5 rating to the very worst album I had ever heard haha. |
thebbqshrimp
08.04.09 | And, understandable about not feeling the jazz fusion. Not for everybody. |
MetalMassacreAttack
08.05.09 | ROFL, that was such a great idea.
I also had problems towars the 100% rating, so my sonly 5 rating was, for at least a couple months, Gates Of Metal Fried Chicken Of Death, fromt he brazillian joke band MAssacration.
But then I said "fuck you, world" and gave 5 to other stuff like Holy Diver and Among The Living. |
thebbqshrimp
08.05.09 | Lol yeah I'm sure I'll eventually start legitimately giving 5s. |
