Powerban 03.26.10	Borderlands is good but gets really boring after a while imo. Mass Effect and the Bioshock series are the only ones close to Fallout 3 at the moment.

TheNewWhack 03.26.10	Thanks Payne and Broken, I'll check those out. Anybody played Darksiders? The premise looks pretty awesome but I haven't talked to anyone that's actually played it.

PayneTiger777 03.26.10	Demon's Souls is a third person RPG, but I just want to warn you that it is considered to be one of the hardest games out there right now. You will die over and over again (even in the tutorial). It's actually not that bad once you get used to it. As for Darksiders, I heard it was sort of like Zelda. Also, since you have a PS3 you need to buy God of War III.

TheNewWhack 03.26.10	FreePizza, my laptop is running Windows 7 with a mediocre graphics card. Not sure how they would work... I'm dying to play them though. Powerban, Just Cause 2 does look pretty sick, So does the new Prince of Persia, Dead to Rights 2 and Max Payne 3. Payne, I've heard that about Demon Souls... It makes me reluctant to check it out. I like a challenge but I also hate ridiculous/unnecessary frustration. I get enough of that at work! God of War looks out of control but I'm waiting for a price drop.
TheNewWhack 03.26.10	P.S. Please don't rec Mass Effect 2. I'm on a PS3 not a 360. I bought both systems around the same time, but my 360 got the RRoD after less than a year... Never bothered getting it fixed.
FreePizzaDay 03.26.10	I mean, I don't know how bad your system is running or what the game requires, but they were made in the late ninties. I think even the worst of today's computers could handle them.
FreePizzaDay 03.26.10	Also, sorry for the double but I'm in the same situation as far as consoles go. Had both, 360 got the red ring, and I've just been playing the PS3 ever since. I'll have to play ME2 on my bro's system.

TheNewWhack 03.26.10	Pizza, I'm more concerned with compatibility issues. Those games were designed to run much older a much older OS. On the other hand, I'm stoked that my 60 gb PS3 is still running flawlessly. I could sell it for twice what I payed for it (backwards compatibility, memory reader and 4 usb ports).

TheNewWhack 03.26.10	Tulannical, It's a good system to pick up. You could find one used for pretty cheap at this point... If only for the Uncharted series alone! They're the most fun games I have ever played.
Tulannical 03.26.10	i've only played uncharted 2 out of the series and it was amazing. i wish i hadn't bought my 360 and had bought a ps3 instead, but yeah, i might look for a ps3 cheap on craigslist or something.
PayneTiger777 03.26.10	Yeah dude, Uncharted 2 was probably the best single player experience ever for me. Metal Gear Solid 4 is also a great reason to buy a PS3.

TheNewWhack 03.26.10	God, I forgot about Heavy Rain. After playing Indigo Prophecy (Fahrenheit) on PS2, I had to pick it up. It's the only game I've ever per-ordered. Epic.

JWT155 03.26.10	One's an RPG that stresses story and is relativel linear where as the other is more of a free roam sandbox shooter. Other then the fact their both FPS's the similarities kinda stop after that.

Tulannical 03.26.10	i know people who hate the 360 controller. it's preference. i'm used to the 360 controller just because i've had the system since it came out, so naturally, i like it better than the ps3's controller.
