| Talk To Me About Music
tell me what music you like! tell me what album you've been listening to! tell me your favourite rsong on the album! tell me when the best part of that song is! | 1 | | Oren Ambarchi Audience of One
Went to a really hi-fi record store yesterday with my best pal, was just us in the
store and we spoke to the owner. You could tell he knew that me and my friend
combined couldn't buy anything in there (turntables began at 3,000 pounds) but we had a
quick look around and began chatting. He was 40 or so and asked us what music
we were into. Recently whenever someone asks me this question I forget every
band that I ever listened to so I replied with a useless, "lots of stuff really". He
showed us into the next small room and pointed to two large speaker towers that
grew from the floor. They were 18,000 pounds. He played us a few songs and
demonstrated his enthusiasm for really fucking good sound. He played "Salt" from
this album, it's awesome. Listen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUa-lVFJlR0 | 2 | | Alva Noto and Ryuichi Sakamoto Summvs
Really nice glitch w/ piano, "By This River" is my favourite track off this one.

This man has an excellent voice, should have gone to see him when i had the
chance. (TIP: if a band you like comes your way, go and see them or regret it
later) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AChA-zK1icg | 4 | | The Middle East I Want That You Are Always Happy

Rediscovered this, it's actually really really great. Big cloudy textures. Don't sleep
to it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-h5gAjNSves | 7 | | Kilo Kish K+
Kilo Kish a damn cool. She made this cool hip-hop album, she's also a 'visual artist,
painter, fashion/textile designer, and model/actress'.

If I haven't muddled my facts this is a Justin Vernon project recorded in 2008,
released this month. Listening to a track called "I Had a Real Good Lover" (what a
great title), and it has an incredible bluesy rock feel. Am i going crazy or is Vernon
sounding like Hendrix in some ways?!? http://www.youtube.com/watch?

04.11.13 | I've really been into death metal, like Cryptopsy recently. But I spend most of my time listening to skramz and wicked generic deathcore cuz breakdowns are fun to blast in my car. Barrow and Touche Amore have really been tickling my fancy...need more post rock influenced skramz real quick... | mindleviticus

@Trebor, i hope all the other students were loving that Daitro goodness. they probably weren't, but fuck 'em
@Michael, never really listened to much industrial, especially not any that's DM influenced, i'll check that album out and will probably be crushed by it by the sounds of it
@Kman, Jokes is one of my favourite records ever, listening to it at 3am sounds fun. Life Was Real is golden, my favourite part is probably the build from 5:20 onwards. the guitar lines are insane all over that album.
@necro, check out Mesa Verde! City of Caterpillar! Sed Non Satiata! Mihai Edrisch!
