03.15.12 | I'm not sure about that, I don't think players are really judged at international level as much as they were, the game has kind of moved on. Argentines seem to expect Messi to carry the selección in the same way that Maradona did, but that's just not possible with the way that the game is played these days. A day after I posted this list I read an article about how the whole debate over "the greatest of all time" is completely futile for so many reasons, and to be fair I think that's probably true. |

in my opinion, he is the greatest player of all-time. I think he will need to win a world cup for him to be seriously considered in that category though. I'm not a huge Argentina fan but I'll be pulling hard for them in 2014 because I want Messi to have a title. let's be serious though, the kid is too fucking good. |
