I reside in Hermosa Beach which is about 10 miles north of Long Beach where Reggae/Punk kings Sublime call home. Naturally, I love Sublime having "grown up with them" more or less. Their fanbase however, are truly just proof of the after effects of what their songs condone will do to a human being. Raised F-150's, terrible sunglasses at ANY time of the day, and the prime objective in their lives is getting blackout drunk. Fuck these guys.

What can I say? I'm a sucker for awesome riffs and outlandish songwriting. Apparently, so are about 2 million other mongoloids. Usually aged about 14-17, donned in black apparel. Eyeliner clad (boy or girl), 4 or more bandanas tied tightly around each arm/leg, and they are ALWAYS in a group of 4 or more.

Yes, I happily give to you my testicles if that means that you can't like this band and be a straight man. A Fever You Can't Sweat Out is one of the most incredibly orchestrated albums in the recent past. Anywho, thats not to say that their fans don't reflect the ridiculous flamboyancy of the music these guys put out. Knit scarves, spandex clothes, neon, hair-spray, lip-rings...each one looks like a drunken mistake from the mid-80's.

Basically their fan base post-city of evil sucks a dick. Just a bunch of 14 year old girls who don't even know WTF and STST exist and just cream themselves over Zacky Vengeance. All of the original fans are great though. | KILL
