07.21.14 | Definitely alot of cool albums came out in this era. Solid State used to kick ass. But apparently later on alot of bands just pretended to be Christian to gain fans from this following |
Emim
07.21.14 | Wrench in the Works is a pretty decent modern band |
Emim
07.21.14 | Plus Spitfire, Becoming the Archetype's first album, Living Sacrifice's couple of metalcore albums and tfu. Everything on this list rules, though. |
wacknizzle
07.21.14 | I don't know if they're Christian or not but Yours To Defend by Acoda is one of the best modern post-hardcore/metalcore hybrids since Define The Great Line |

07.21.14 | I'll check dat out den Wack, and yeah As Cities Burn's talked about the faux-Christian bands a bit on their third album, and Tim Lambesis talked it in his sociopathic memoir. |
witchxrapist
07.21.14 | @Emim seeing Spitfire, Underoath, and As Cities Burn the same night was one of the most Christcore experiences of my life. Plus Sincebyman and Poison The Well were on that tour too, srsly the best show of my life imo. |
wacknizzle
07.21.14 | "Lambesis talked about it in his sociopathic memoir" lol
Yeah Since By Man ruled hard, so overlooked |
witchxrapist
07.21.14 | I feel like if they didn't have to drop off that tour half way through they probably would've gotten a little more recognition. Cause srsly, Poison The Well and Underoath were HUGE back then. |

07.22.14 | YO I didn't even know Woe Of Tyrants was Christian, that band fucking kills.
and some Christian stuff is REAL preachy, like the first Underoath album, holy shit. Parts of the first As Cities Burn album are kind of preachy too, but it's in a self-helping manner rather than vindictive... August Burns Red's first album, just gotta quote Speech Impediment "There is a man who seeks his own happiness and his smile is warmer than five of yours," which is genuinely one of my favorite lines in metal lyrics, but damn that's kind of preachy (in a positive manner imo). |
Thibs
07.22.14 | ya i guess. i don't like labeling any non-praise music 'christian'. we don't do it for other belief systems (of the members) |
witchxrapist
07.22.14 | Yeah that would make wayyyy more bands "Christian" music, considering how prevalent the religion is globally. |
DikkoZinner
07.22.14 | Best song with "Christ" in the title?
"Christening the Afterbirth" |
SourAK
07.22.14 | new war of ages is sum pretty swell christcore |
witchxrapist
07.22.14 | @Futures August Burns Red's first singer's lyrics were fucking good. I love Jake's voice and all, but his lyrical content just isn't the same level.
and IDK I could never get into War Of Ages, and I know they did not like me when I met them cause they got really pissy with me for making fun of Pantera. |
SourAK
07.22.14 | to speak of wolves is prob one of the best post-2010 christcore bands |
