B10c

Here are my top 33 albums of 2010. 33 is a weird number yes? Let's begin:
33Suicide Commando
Implements of Hell

This is kinda gimmicky I can admit that, but super catchy as well.
32Solitary Experiments
Compendium 2

The first Compendium was better, but this is stilll a great compilation of SE remixes.
31Iris
Blacklight

Usually these guys release albums where I can pick out of few goodies and discard the rest, but this was really good overall.
30Rabbit Junk
Project Nonagon

This is essentially The Shizit but with more party mixed in. Me likey.
29Erra
Andromeda

This is that usual Misery Signals + For the Fallen Dreams + The Ghost Inside shit, but it's got these sissy clean vocals that automatically take the band to new levels.
28In Vain
Mantra

I always get this band mixed up with In Mourning.
27Enslaved
Axioma Ethica Odini

Excellent band overall, glad I was curious.
26In Mourning
Monolith

I always get this band mixed up with In Vain.
25Barren Earth
Curse Of The Red River

One of the better prog melodic death metal albums I've heard. It's surprising because I think Amorphis is absolute shit.
24M9
Orion's Stencil

It's the UK hip-hop again. I love M9 and all his UK friends.
23Of Mice & Men
Of Mice & Men

What are you gonna do Sputnik? Nothing.
22Paul Gilbert
Fuzz Universe

This is the album I've been waiting for Paul to make; tons of variation mixed with some great sense of melody is exactly what I want in my instrumental guitar albums.
21Journal
Unlorja

I just pretend they aren't singing about a video game
20The Devil Wears Prada
Zombie EP

LOL YEAH I KNOW
19Called To Arms
Peril and the Patient

After Emim told me to listen to this I was like, "fuck that", but don't let the number 19 spot fool you; this kicks so much ass. Remember I mentioned something about what a growing bloc needs?
18After The Burial
In Dreams

Still unsure if this is better than Rareform, but it's good enough to make number 18.
17FACT
In the Blink of an Eye

I threw this out the window when I first heard because it was so much more inferior to FACT's previous album
16Chiodos
Illuminaudio

Arguably the biggest surprise of the year. Just one question: is it only my copy that clips and crackles? Or is this album produced to loudly?
15Deftones
Diamond Eyes

YEAH YEAH, I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT
14The Contortionist
Exoplanet

Heavy, atmospheric, melodic, everything a growing bloc needs
13Boom Boom Satellites
To The Loveless

So I first heard of these guys after they did that FACT remix..
12Psyborg Corp.
The Mechanical Renaissance

Unique as fuck, can't wait for new material.
11Big Boi
Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty

Assumed this would be shit (just because I am not a big Outkast fan). BUH BUH BUH BUH BUHBUH BUH BUH BUH BUUUUUUH.
10Underoath
Disambiguation

I'm probably being generous with this album, but it's got songs and moments that are just unbelievably good. That breakdown groove thing that happens about halfway through My Deteriorating Incline is one of my favourite moments of 2010.
9Systemshock
Virus-Electro

Another genre I am picky about (electro industrial rock) so this was definitely a surprise. Yeah, their band pics are ridiculous but the label liked my cheesy soundoff so much they gave me an HQ download of the album. u so jelly.
8Periphery
Periphery

I've been behind this band since day one, and their debut album easily deserves a spot in my top 10. I'm definitely a sucker for this wankasaurus bands as long as they remain melodic and go go all Arctopus on me.
7Two Door Cinema Club
Tourist History

I'm really picky with this kind of music and much of what I've heard has been mediocre. Tourist History is actually a breath of fresh air. It's catchy, it's clever, and the production is spectacular.
6Ghostface Killah
Apollo Kids

East Coast is next.
5Iron Braydz
Devil May Cry

UK hip-hop is my favourite type and this guy is in front of the pack
4Mind.In.A.Box
R.E.T.R.O

This could have easily snagged first place if there were more vocals on the album; there were too many instrumental tracks.
3Interpol
Interpol

Was pretty good at first, but then grew on me like a virus. This even started to make me appreciate Our Love To Admire a lot more.
2Hocico
Tiempos De Furia

Willie and SirkSakaig, u dum?
1The Birthday Massacre
Pins and Needles

This should be no surprise
