AnotherBrick 01.04.10	if you loved the wall but dont like the long proggy songs (which will grow on you) then go in this order: The Wall Dark Side of the Moon The Division Bell A Momentary Lapse of reason (dont listen to the noobs that say this album sucks) The Final Cut - once again most people hate it but it was originally going to be called "spare bricks" meaning the extra songs from the wall so if you liked the wall you'll really dig this one) also it isnt that proggy at all since waters had complete control and was more lyrically focused
AnotherBrick 01.04.10	hit submit on accident...if you dig those floyd albums then try getting into the more proggy stuff, give either wish you were here or animals a listen and after that go with meddle essential prog recs? ill try to keep it down to a couple old prog Rush - 2112 (if you dig the longer prog songs then go with this) and if you dont then do moving pictures king crimson - in the court of the crimson king yes - close to the edge emerson, lake, and palmer - trilogy newer prog porcupine tree - fear of a blank planet riverside - out of myself the mayan factor - in lake 'ch dredg - el cielo dream theater - i say start with metropolis part 2:scenes from a memory and then images and words come find me if you need some more prog recs

Inveigh 01.04.10	My favorite from Pink Floyd is Wish You Were Here, but that's a five song album and most of them are over 10 minutes. Doesn't seem like it when I listen to it though... We've discussed Atmosphere plenty, but if like the less hip-hop flavored stuff and like live instruments or really musical beats, I'd say go for When Live Gives You Lemons... or Seven's Travels. Musically speaking, You Can't Imagine How Much Fun We're Having is really good, but there are some pretty weak (for Slug at least) lyrics on there. I still like Lucy Ford, God Loves Ugly and Sad Clown Bad Dub II the best, but you can't go wrong with WLGYL...YPTSG or Seven's Travels.

TRMshadow 01.05.10	I'm intending to check 3 out in more depth too. 10 is a must for both bands. Everything by Opeth is amazing (and I'm not exaggerating) so definitely don't miss out on them. DT's earlier years were better, Check out Images & Words, Scenes from a Memory, and 6 Degrees of Inner Turbulence. Yes GY!BE is good sleeping music, right behind Mono and Isis for me. Pink Floyd is amazing, listen to what AnotherBrick has to say, he's got it down to a science.
