What can I say about him? Between his work in Thrice and his solo work his voice and lyrics have resonated with me like no other person. If the devil is reading this I'll trade you my soul for 15 minutes to sit down and talk with this man. He's truly an inspiration. |

I really wasn't into music until I heard their single "The Red". I proceeded to buy Wonder What's Next which opened up everything for me. Their riffs are the reason I picked up the guitar. Say what you want about this band, but as far as I'm concerned they make solid music with every album. |

Chevelle inspired me to pick up the guitar, Eric Clapton was my inspiration to play it well. I'm pretty sure everyone who owns a 6-string has played Layla at some point in time. The hours I've spent playing/Listening to him are almost impossible to comprehend. |

| 5 | Rush
As far as I'm concerned Rush is the greatest assembly of talent to ever call themselves a band as their members are virtuosos at their respective instruments. Whether it be the amazing riffs/solos, bass lines or drumming. They're style of music has a) put in me awe of their talent and b) opened the door to infinite other styles of music such as metal, jazz, you name it. |
