The Road

The Road is my favorite book, and so I went into the movie expecting a decent but disappointing picture. And its safe to say that saying I was wrong would be an understatement. Hands down, the best movie I've ever seen and the only movie I could accually call beautiful. The cinematography, the score, the acting, everything was brilliant to say the least. Just thought I'd let you guys all know. Here's a list of digs and such.
1Dirty Three
Ocean Songs

After hearing Warren Ellis and Nick Cave's work with The Road, I'm very interested in Dirty Three's releases. The stuff I looked up on youtube sounds pretty fantastic. Which release should I check out first?
2Slint
Spiderland

I've been enjoying this more than I think I've ever had as of late. Disturbing, eerie and overall beautiful. Tis' the season eh?
3Matthew Good Band
Beautiful Midnight

Going to fly to Hawaii, get laid in a lawn chair, drown in a bathtub fill it with cheap beer.
4Smog
The Doctor Came at Dawn

All Your Women Things is one of the best songs ever written imo.
5Rachel's
The Sea and the Bells

An absolute masterpiece, no way could I have given this anything lower than a 5.
6Grouper
Dragging a Dead Deer Up a Hill

As with Spiderland, I think I've been enjoying this more than I ever have.
7Max Richter
The Blue Notebooks

An amazing neo classical piece from a fantastic composer.
8Matthew Good Band
Avalanche

The pink pills are for your sanity, we are buried in the earth because we can't beat gravity. You are still here and so made to figure, you are an important part of the computer.
9Damien Rice
O
