thebhoy 01.10.11	no, I didn't feel it to be distractingly forced or anything. I mean, it's there for a reason not "just to be artsy" just at times it felt overdone. But there was hella references in the movie too, which I love. And, for anybody into literature and stuff, me and my friend both felt it reminded us of The Picture of Dorian Gray.

Transposed to something dark (the black swan) from her frail child-like behavior (the white swan) was contextual perfection. What's best is her realization that she'd actually penetrated herself with the shard of glass, allowing her to re-emerge as the fragile white swan for the final act.
