The Runners

10 albums from 2007 that are really good, but definitely not the best.
1Battles
Mirrored

Robot noises! I fucking love Robot noises! But after a while, it runs a bit long, though throughly entertaining.
2Daft Punk
Alive 2007

Daft Punk at their best, live, the French robots shine here. Though, really, I know it all too well.
3Easy Star All-Stars
Radiodread

Reggae & OK Computer, by the same people that did 'Dub Side'? Sign me up! Thankfully it doesn't suck.
4Eluvium
Copia

Fantastic ambient album, put me to bed many nights.
5The Good, The Bad & The Queen
The Good, The Bad & The Queen

Woo! New Blur album! Wait, no? Ok, still pretty sweet.
6Kanye West
Graduation

Ye forgets how to rap, but still manages to make an extremely tight album. 'Barry Bonds' & 'Good Morning' are indispensable.
7LCD Soundsystem
Sound of Silver

The first 1/2 is amazing, the second...it falters. Thankfully that first half is so goddamn good. 'North American Scum' and 'All My Friends' are fantastic
8Manic Street Preachers
Send Away the Tigers

Awesome CD, plus anything Nina Persson touches I can dig.
9Of Montreal
Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer?

At first, I couldn't stop spinning it, for a while, I had to stop. Fantastic, but it gets a bit wonky at times.
10Wilco
Sky Blue Sky

Jeff Tweedy & Wilco decide to make a straight up rock album, and well, it rocks. I can see why VW snatched up 1/2 the album plus 'Impossible Germany' is badass.
