02.02.12 | They also have a new album coming out in a week called 'Paralytic Stalks'. It adds a bit of a 70's progressive tint to their psychedelia. Stream it here:

02.02.12 | i used to like this band a little bit but the rest of elephant 6's roster is way better man. go listen to circulatory system's s/t and olivia tremor control's black foliage: animation music those albums are seriously awesome. out of these though i'd do the sunlandic twins and then satanic panic in the attic. |

02.02.12 | I will, thanks Reverend. I love their use of electronics on the latest one. The only thing I've heard a decent amount of is their song with Janelle Monae, which I actually love |
Rev
02.02.12 | and while I disagree with wacknizzle's dismissle of OM, I gotta gree that Circulatory System's S/T is fucking bomb |

02.02.12 | I've been exploring all of Elephant 6 lately, actually. As it turns out, while my favorite record is (typical as it seems) 'In The Aeroplane Over the Sea', my favorite band of the collective is The Apples In Stereo. But I saw a playlist on Spotify based on an article I read called "The 29 Most Essential E6 Songs," which highlighted various songs by various bands. Of Montreal stood out (that song "Don't Ask Me To Explain"), and got stuck in my head.
So yeah, any suggestions for E6 as a whole are also greatly appreciated. But as it is, this band (Of Montreal) is the one I've looked into first, and their discography is so varied...where to even start!? |
