The Problem With Dub-step

is the way people talk about it. At least the people who ride the trends. It seems to be less about the artist and more about the genre itself. I never hear people say "hey put on some *artists name*". its always "i'm listening to dub-step." As if all artists in the genre are somehow one supreme being. People see it as, less about artistic individuality and compiling a great back catalog or at least an album, and more about hearing a good song or two. what are your thoughts? Has this wave of dub-step into popular culture made you look at idiotic trend followers with more hate? or possibly love?
