Hit 30,000 Plays On Last.fm, I'm Special

Top 10 artists the last 3 months that helped me achieve this not so quite amazing feat.
1Joy Division
Closer

140 plays, all from this month. I just started listening to them early September, one of the finest lyricists I've ever heard. Just the imagery and the passion that is completely within Closer is fantastic. Took a few plays to realize its brilliance.
2Blur
13

98 plays. My favorite album from Blur. I don't neccesarily hate their early stuff since its so britpop oriented, but its just not my style for the majority of the time. Their work is extremely solid, but I wasn't diggin' Think Tank.
3Autechre
Incunabula

94 plays. Listened to their entire discovery, must say it gets worse as the albums go through. Amber, Tri Repatae, and Incunabula are utterly fantastic to amazing, but the some of it is extremely tedious and dry (Confield). I really loved their last album Quarstice, its a return to form in my opinion.
4David Wise
Donkey Kong Country 2 Soundtrack

93 plays. I know its pathetic, but once I did the review I couldn't stop playing the tracks. Most are extremely short, thus the high play count. David Wise's OST captures the game's charm perfectly.
5Biosphere
Dropsonde

79 plays. Probably one of my favorite ambient artists. His albums play like a concept album every time and almost every time they're great to excellent. Once I reviewed his debut Microgravity I grabbed most of his other stuff, which did not disappoint.
6Venetian Snares
Rossz Csillag Allat Szuletett

78 plays. Rossz Csillag Allat Szuletett is one of my favorite experimental forays with any genre within breakcore or more broadly idm. Its pure and utterly ingenius form is masterful in every way. The Russian girl in the background of a couple of songs is haunting and sets the mood perfectly. Venetian Snares is extremely quick and deliberate with his material and this album was a nice change of pace. His discography is filled with fantastic pieces and the occasional snorefest.
7Archive
Controlling Crowds

68 plays. A really underrated trip-hop/psychedelic/indie rock whatever-you-want to-call-them band. They've made tons of transformations in their career, including genre shifts and band members. Their albums that bring in trip-hop like Londinium and the 2009 release Controlling Crowds (most of it is trip-hop stuff) are top-notch stuff in a quiet genre that was booming in the 90's.
8The Afghan Whigs
Black Love

58 plays. Took my awhile to appreciate these guys. Smooth, melodic, and overall some powerful lyrics really hit home after a few days of listening.
9Bad Religion
How Could Hell Be Any Worse?

47 plays. 47 plays entirely from their debut. I have yet to listen to their other material, but fuck man this is some aggressive, truthful, angry hardcore punk. The only way that it can be brought!
10Amorphous Androgynous
The Isness

45 plays. Decent stuff from this psychedelic group, they use a lot of natural mellow instruments like the flute to move their sound. Their track lists are a bit long, hence the play count. Pretty sure some of these members were part of The Future Sound of London group.
