| Albums That Reflect My Top 10 Movies
Couldn't think of anything else besides The Clash for Lock, Stock and Pulp Fiction since they do carry a bit of a funky, punk vibe to them. Al Green probably a better choice for Pulp Fiction. | 1 | | Aphex Twin Selected Ambient Works, Vol. II
The Thing - (Russel sees The Thing in all of its mighty shrieks) "Yeah, fuck you too!" | 2 | | The Clash London Calling
Lock, Stock, & 2 Smoking Barrels -
Bacon: What's that?
Samoan Joe's Barman: It's a cocktail. You asked for a cocktail.
Bacon: No. I asked you to give me a refreshing drink. I wasn't expecting a fucking rainforest! You could fall in love with an orangutan in that!
Samoan Joe's Barman: You want a pint, you go to the pub.
Bacon: I thought this was a pub!
Samoan Joes Barman: It's a Samoan pub. | 3 | | Various Artists La Haine
La Haine -
Vinz: Who made you a preacher? You know what's right and wrong? Why do you side with the assholes?
Hubert: Who's the asshole? If you hate stayed in school, you'd know that hate breeds hate, Vinz. | 4 | | The Clash The Clash (US)
Pulp Fiction - "Does he looks like a bitch?"
"No."
"Then why'd you fuck him Brett?"
"I didn't."
"YES you did Brett, yes you did!" | 5 | | Tricky Maxinquaye
Heat - Pacino v De Niro, do I need to say anything else? | 6 | | Streetlight Manifesto Everything Goes Numb
Clerks - "Wait, what is that anyway, something like 36? Does that INCLUDE me? " | 7 | | The Dust Brothers Fight Club: The Original Motion Picture
Fight Club - Don't think anything else blends so well. | 8 | | System of A Down Toxicity
City of God - Another death, another saga. | 9 | | Colour Haze All
Buffalo Soldiers - Love the dark comedy splattered everywhere, clever , fantastic acting. | 10 | | Tool Undertow
Oldboy - I really can't imagine how Dae-Su felt at the end of the movie....How sinister. | |
cirq
07.09.09 | Circa survive - juturna: eternal sunshine... Though they pretty much based that album off the movie | jingledeath
07.09.09 | Need to see 1 but it's really hard to find. 2,4,5,7,8 are excellent. | MassiveAttack
07.09.09 | Everyone needs to check out La Haine or Oldboy. Both brilliant cinema masterpieces. La Haine's cinematography is amazing. | burnedcorpse
07.09.09 | I'm feeling fine, don't worry. | DaveyBoy
07.09.09 | No Hitchcock... No Herrmann... What kind of a movie list is this Marko!?!?!? | PanasonicYouth
07.09.09 | Oh, lawdly, Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels is a great movie. Definitely in my top 10. | Yotimi
07.09.09 | Old Boy is incredible. | Mendigo
07.09.09 | 8 doesn't reflect the movie at all imo.
haven't seen 3, 5 & 9 yet but the rest are all awesome. | shade
07.09.09 | This is a cool list concept. | Greggers
07.09.09 | Pulp Fiction, City of God, Fight Club and Lock, Stock are prob all in my top 10, maybe top 15. Good list. | thebhoy
07.09.09 | ahh man I need to watch Oldboy again, that movie is sick.
I don't see Toxicity as going good with City of God, but that's just me. I also would have thought the Kronos Quartet original score would be with Heat. | rasputin
07.09.09 | good list, a much better read than most of the useless ones posted here | Mendigo
07.09.09 | now that I think of it I'd take "Relationship of Command" for City of God | combustion07
07.09.09 | Seen all of these except The Thing, Fight Club, Pulp Fiction, and Oldboy ftw | Yotimi
07.09.09 | How about Sigur Ros - Agaetis Byrun for Vanilla Sky? Cuz it pretty much already is that way (I think there's like 3 sigur ros songs and a Radiohead song) | MUNGOLOID
07.09.09 | pulp fiction is my all time favorite movie! it's cool to see that the movie reminds you of the clash. the oldboy manga is incredible. | bloc
07.09.09 | ahhh, 2 is a great movie. great director. | MassiveAttack
07.09.09 | Oldboy movie and the manga are actrually entirely different. Chanwoo Park decided to just tell his own version of the manga instead of just taking from it. | MassiveAttack
07.09.09 | Oh and yea I had difficulty on some of these, I put down SOTD for City of God because of how high-violence it is and how hyperactive SOTD is as well. | thebhoy
07.12.09 | yeah but the violence in City of God was always very focused and brooding. I mean the scene where he tells the kid who wants to join his gang to shoot the other kid takes like ten minutes to unfold, always building the suspense and terror. SOAD being spastic don't really fit to me, y'know? | LeMartien
02.24.10 | La Haine is awesome!
| nicolauz
07.09.10 | Awesome Idea and really dig the movies/music matched up. Will definitely have to try something like this out ! | Uranium
07.09.10 | 10 rules ja |
