The Definitive El-producto

This list is brought to you by the internet and my bff riff oclock's taste in obscure drone
1Company Flow
Funcrusher Plus

The original progressive hip-hop masterpiece. Came out in a time where everyone was obsessed with soul samples, etc. El-P's starting point and a classic.
2El-P
Fantastic Damage

More of what El-P sounds like today, a definitely progression from the more boom-bap oriented sound of Funcrusher Plus. A classic.
3El-P
I'll Sleep When You're Dead

A bit more cinematic of a feel than a collection of paranoid/ angry raps and electronic influenced beats. A classic.
4El-P
Cancer 4 Cure

I saw El perform the entire record live. Was a fucking experience. A classic.
5El-P
High Water

El-P does his best jazz impression. Really good and shows off his background and versatility.
6Cannibal Ox
The Cold Vein

El's first fully produced album for someone else. The beats are dense as fuck, complementing the rapping perfectly. Vast Aire is an incredible rapper, and shines rapping over the best beats he'll ever get the pleasure of rapping over (he hasn't done much of anything good since). A classic.
7Killer Mike
R.A.P. Music

Killer Mike has been a solid lyricist over the past few years. El fills the hole in his game with some solid beats. The title track is fucking mind blowing. A modern classic.
