Lesser Known Metalcore That Needs Some Lovin'
Just a few lesser known Metalcore releases that I feel need some more listeners. |
1 | | Renounced The Melancholy We Ache
Awesome melodic crymosh. Has a 7 Angels 7 Plagues/fordirelifessake vibe. http://carrytheweightrecords.bandcamp.com/album/the-melancholy-we-ache |
2 | | Parallax Mediums Without Messages
Criminally underrated band who to me has the closest sound to EP/Of Malice era Misery
Signals. They had the perfect blend of technicality and melody. They have a very tragic back
story concerning the death of vocalist Blake Donner in a cave diving accident which gives the
already incredibly inspiring lyrics so much more weight.

3 | | Undying The Whispered Lies of Angels
Black/Melodeathy melodies mixed with moshy hardcore and passionate spoken word sections.
Reminds me of Prayer For Cleansing at times. https://www.youtube.com/watch?

4 | | On Broken Wings Some Of Us May Never Get to See the World
Early moshcore that still puts most of the bands that do the style to shame.

5 | | Remembering Never Women and Children Die First
Brings the mosh hard and has some incredibly catchy choruses to boot. One of the most
pissed sounding frontmen ever imo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vxx4cx2D0D8 |
6 | | Rebuker Familiar Stranger
Last year I did a stint on the Scream The Prayer tour as a merch guy for Everyone Dies In
Utah and on the Georgia date these dudes opened at the now defunct 7 Venue(which was
honestly the nicest venue I have ever been to and I'm glad to have went there before it
closed.) Anyway these dudes absolutely tore it up sounding like a mixture of Coalesce and The
Chariot. They were by far the heaviest/best local I saw on the tour and were a bunch of really
cool dudes, their drummer got me into Will Haven. https://www.youtube.com/watch?

7 | | Destiny The Tracy Chapter
This band fucking loves early Poison The Well and that's perfectly fine with me. Later changed
their name to The Destiny Program. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IdsBw4iSNlw |
8 | | Hero In Error The High Point of New Lows
Catchy Technical Metalcore from Ireland with unexpected time changes and a nice sense of
groove and melody. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZjXxWwDWBug |
9 | | Fjord Lives Lives
Strong Botch/Converge influence but far from a carbon copy. Features the ex vocalist of
Winter Solstice. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pd4yv3u8l_M&list=PLnuTqx5-

10 | | Compromise Yesterday Was Everything
Another fantastic band who's fate was cut short due to a tragic death. Incredibly emotionally
charged songs featuring the performances of Jesse Zaraska, the dearly departed duo of Daniel
Langois and Jordan "Jordo" Wodehouse (the one Jesse tried to find those pictures for) it's a
must hear for fans of Misery Signals https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1v5QxjQ63E |
