Octoberfest

And here I thought September had a bunch of albums to keep my wallet from overfilling...
1Ludo
Broken Bride EP

Technically a September release, but I'll probably have to order it online, meaning I'll get it in October. Anyways, I've heard good things about this album, and it's like 5 bucks, so I figure why not.
2The Fall Of Troy
In the Unlikely Event

Yes, Manipulator was slightly disappointing. But it wasn't enough to make me write these guys off completely, especially with Phantom on the Horizon being so strong.
3HORSE The Band
Desperate Living

Listening to the stream now. HORSE has yet to disappoint me.
4Lights
The Listening

A definite guilty pleasure, but ever since she sang on the latest Silverstein album, I've been a sucker for the unabashed pop this girl churns out.
5Paradise Lost
Faith Divides Us - Death Unites Us

Apparently, much more in the vein of the doom metal of Icon and Draconian Times, which sounds pretty sweet to me. Not that their goth/electronic period doesn't have its own, odd charm.
6 Rosetta/East of the Wall/Year of No Light
Split

Anything Rosetta touches is gold in my book, and I've been meaning to get into the other two bands for awhile, so this seems pretty much perfect to me.
7Baroness
Blue Record

Such a great band. And their artwork alone seems worth the price of the album.
8Converge
Axe To Fall

It's been like three years since they put out a CD. Nuff said.
9Flight of the Conchords
I Told You I Was Freaky

Since they were most cruelly deprived of the Emmy (though I'm glad 30 Rock did the depriving), I figure the least I can do to support them is buy their new album.
10Russian Circles
Geneva

I apparently missed the meeting where it was decided that Station was so awful, but oh well. Anything Swiss is great, right? Watches, mountains, bank accounts, cheese...it's all there.
11 Sufjan Stevens
The BQE

I only have Michigan and Illinoise by Mr. Stevens, but based solely on those, he really seems to knock it out of the park on his location-themed albums.
12 Between the Buried and Me
The Great Misdirect

You know why.
13 Pelican
What We All Come to Need

Ephemeral was really good, and a lot more exciting than City of Echoes, so I'm optimistic about this one.
14 3
Revisions

If it's anything like Wake Pig, The End Is Begun, and Been to the Future, it should be excellent. And apparently they have another new one coming out not long after, so it's a good year for Eppard fans.
15 Battlestar Galactica
The Plan

Yup. What kind of nerd would I be if I wasn't already salivating over this? Also, to revive a theme: fuck you, Emmys. Depriving FotC I can forgive, since it was for what might loosely be considered a good cause...but snubbing Battlestar? Especially in its final season? Simply unforgivable.
