| New and Improved
These are just some changes, whether in sound or line-up changes, that worked for the better. | 1 | Finch
Say Hello To Sunshine was a great progression for Finch, as it was both unique and more challenging than What it is to Burn, which was also a superb album. | 2 | Underoath
They're Only Chasing Safety was a rather weak release when compared to Define the Great Line, as Define the Great Line is one of the best releases of '06, everything is a million times better than it was on TOCS, plus, the drumming is just astonishing when compared to TOCS | 3 | Senses Fail
Heath replacing their previous guitarists was one of the best things to happen to Senses Fail, as he just brings this metal element with his riffs and solos to the band. They never would have been as technical or aggresive without Heath. | 4 | Story of the Year
In the Wake of Determination made Page Avenue suck. The guitarists, mainly, improved their abilities and made their previous work look like it was done by a class of kindergarteners in a music room. The riffs and solos on ITWOD blow the entire Page Avenue album out of the water. | 5 | Allister
Last Stop Suburbia was an excellent pop-punk album, but Before the Blackout out-did it in every way. The riffs got heavier, the vocalists improved, and more of a straight up rock vibe was incorporated, making their already great pop-punk even better. | |

11.10.06 | DAMMIT!!!! Why don't my explainations ever work? | labonza01
11.10.06 | 1. Finch improved with Say Hello To Sunshine because it was more unique and challenging than What it is To Burn, which was also a superb offering.
2. Underoath: They're Only Chasing Safety was a weak offering compared to Define the Great Line. Everything was improved with that album. The guitars got technical, the vocals improved vastly, and the drums just became astonishing.
3. Senses Fail replaced one of their guitarists with Heath. Heath brings a metallic element to Senses Fail with his metal riffs and solos, which couldn't have been done by their previous guitarist.
4. Story of the Year released In the Wake of Determination, which basically was a major improvement over Page Avenue. Mainly because of the guitar work, as with ITWOD brings heavy riffs and slightly technical solos and Page Avenue had more generic guitar work.
5. Allister improved from Last Stop Suburbia with Before the Blackout by incorporating heavier riffs and rockish elements to their already excellent brand of pop-punk. | vanhalen1984

11.10.06 | oh, you're right, van halens not on this list. hey, wait a minute, i hate classic rock, shut up | Muisee
11.10.06 | These bands are awful, chang up or not. | Jack Wilson
11.10.06 | i deffinately agree with you on the senses fail thing. im not a fan of solos but his lead lines are much more interesting. | iarescientists
11.10.06 | explanations only work with album lists.
I don't listen to any of these bands, and don't really see myself ever listening to them, but I won't bash you for it, because that would put me in the same league as someone who listens to Van Halen. | AmericnZero02
11.11.06 | good list. Im only familiar with senses fail and SOTY, but i defintely agree they improved. |
