Top 10 "Lost Gems"

This is a list that goes over some of the greatest albums that have received little to no critical acclaim.
1 The Aquabats
The Aquabats Vs. the Floating Eye of Death

The Aquabats are often regarded as a retarted ska band but there are no ska influences featured on this album. "Floating Eye of Death" jumps from eerie ballads to gleeful pop songs all the way over to superhero themes. A true classic.
2 Quasimoto
The Unseen

Some of the strangest and jazziest rap music ever recorded. Madlib busts out some sick beats and rhythms, trumpets, flutes, xylophones, and guitars are all used throughout the album. The production is ace and this album just proves the Quasimoto are the Mr. Bungle of rap.
3Beat Happening
Jamboree

Indie music at its finest. Beat Happening kept their lazy and deadbeat image while creating some of the most laid-back and strangely addicting music. A wonderful mix of twee-pop and inde.
4Bela Fleck and the Flecktones
Flight of the Cosmic Hippo

Some of the coolest and grooviest bluegrass music I have ever heard. I usually hate this type of music but Bela Fleck makes it exciting and entertainting.
5 Oingo Boingo
Only a Lad

This has to be some of the angst-ridden and quirkiest music ever created. Elfman is simply a genious and it is sickening how forgotten Oingo Boingo are.
6Tortoise
TNT

While this album has received some critical acclaim once post-rock became more popular amongst the indie-crowd it is still sorely underated. TNT has some of the coolest, jazziest post-rock songs around.
7Peter Tosh
Legalize It

This is much better then anything that Bob Marley ever put out. Some of the most sublime and laid-back reggae music ever recorded.
8 Bola
Gnayse

Some of the best electronica music that I have ever listened to. It feautres some beautiful soundscapes and rhythms along with groovy keyboard melodies. Cool stuff.
9 Sparklehorse
Vivadixiessubmarinetransmissionsplot

An emotional, breathtaking indie/pop album. The album goes from blasts of noise to calm, and creepy ballads.
10Flying Saucer Attack
Further

This is an ambient/post-rock type of album. While listening to this with headphones it takes you to another world, similar to Godspeeds F#A#$infinity symbol, only more relaxed
