02.28.23 | Love Dire Straits, and glad to see Making Movies so high.
Mine would be 2 > 1 > 4 > 5 > 3 > 6. |

02.28.23 | Oh cool, a Dire Straits list. I'll be predictable but I believe the debut is still their best album, everything just clicks in the songs. I've had a Lover Over Gold phase but now I find its "proggy" nature to be a bit of a style-over-substance thing.
On Every Street isn't a great album, I agree. But in case you haven't the live record On the Night has some much stronger takes on its songs with some very juicy solos |

02.28.23 | I think 3 is the only Dire Straits album I'd consider essential |

02.28.23 | 3 has aged the worst of their classics and is forever overrated by basic dads
1 and 2 are definitely 1 and 2, throw in the first two records immediately after and all is in order |

02.28.23 | 5 has also aged badly. Thought I loved it, but I played it recently and it wasn't a good time and I will lower my rating now. |

02.28.23 | 5 has a small handful of absolutely perfect tracks and an equally small handful of bum ones
you are the bum one too |

02.28.23 | Nice to see a list of a ranking of Dire Straits, a band I like very much. Nice ranking. I've no doubts about the first, second and last ones. Between the others, it can be changed deppending of my moods. But, this would be probably my usual ranking too. |
Sunnyvale
02.28.23 | Hell yeah, a Dire Straits list!
My ranking would probably be 4-1-2-5-3-6. |

02.28.23 | "forever overrated by basic dads"
like what dire straits album isn't? |
Egarran
02.28.23 | >5 has a small handful of absolutely perfect tracks
Names please. The two best for me are prob Once Upon A Time and Lady Writer. |
JohnnyoftheWell
02.28.23 | News, Where Dya Think and Lady Writer. Opener is next in line but dawdles a bit too much for the podium - could live without every other track though (maybe the closer is dec?) |
Sunnyvale
02.28.23 | Portobello Belle plus all the tunes already mentioned are my favorites on Communique! |
